  1. Neither does Laing. Cost of not bringing in a striker who can last more than 5 games. Either way, worst it should be is 0-0. It isn't thanks to the ref and Bradley playing in concrete boots.
  2. How have them two chances not go in. Much more ball control needed. Ref and Bradley cost us a goal, how can he get turned like that . The foul on Wilson was probably a yellow card prior. Awful reffing. Push Sibley up as the attack without a natural striker and Ward is non existent pace wise. Thompson needs to think about his game . You can't just run around , he's missed two easy reverse balls not anticipating.
  3. I've had CBT and it did diddly. They also put me on a list for 6 months to start it and changed the person doing it halfway who scoffed at what the person did before. As it didn't work I then spent another 6 months trying to find an alternative they couldn't offer as the service is CBT obsessed. After another assessment they decided EMDR to deal with a past traumatic event may help . I emphasise this wasn't offered but should be available so I pushed for it. The therapist new nothing about my past history, which after copious notes were taken was very demoralising. After 4 very intensive sessions which aren't that pleasant, I was advised the therapist was moving to another trust so they suspended it and I waited 4 weeks to get another assessor. Guess what, this new therapist wasn't happy with what the previous one had done and wanted too start again. At this point I gave up and was advised they'd keep me on file but the first point of call would be CBT. Glad it worked for you but if like me it doesn't, neither the therapist to try something different or listening to what you saying is very high on the agenda. I imagine it's worse now they've merged PCT therapy regionally.
  4. Rebel, Rebel your accounts are a mess
  5. It was a very barren time in terms of attendances in the 80's and those grounds weren't getter any younger, wages were probably 10% of what they are now and their was no cash incentive to get promoted, you were on your own. You also had a better chance of avoiding relegation on promotion with such a system in place. We'll have to beg to differ on that. i suppose.
  6. That's really left quite a lot of scope in two sentences. 😂
  7. Back in the day Charlton, Chelsea etc stayed in the first division when they should really have got relegated. Their only interest in the playoffs would have been to preserve a first division place. When the average 2nd division wage at that time was probably 40 k a year, possibly less, I can see that for a team that finished 3rd a huge cash bonus over 3 games and maybe promotion at the end was worth a pocket the cash and go again scenario. Makes no sense at all now from a money perspective to forego an automatic promotion to take part in a lottery.
  8. https://gaschat.co.uk/thread/22234/watney-cup Been wondering what happened to this for a while. Should never have lent it to Stoke then they sent on again without our knowledge during our admin carnage.
  9. Best bit of that day bar the goal was McEverley doing his only real stand out thing in a Derby shirt using a football to punch Gunter in the face.
  10. We're possibly only 2 injuries away to key players from struggling to get results in 3 of the last 7, we'll struggle enough in them without getting some firepower back . Tomorrow is a must win should that happen.
  11. I suspect he'd have better offers and wages coming from a bottom end top flight/ promotion hopeful championship side for a couple of years. Probably end up back at Watford or Burnley the milestone marker for all Derbys midfielders at some point.
  12. How would you judge that though ? A physical injury can be assessed by an X-ray.
  13. There's no reward for finishing 3rd . The system was designed to keep at team that finished third from bottom in the first division an unfair opportunity to stay up at the expense of another. It was accepted by clubs outside as the chance to make a decent chunk of money over 3 games when wages weren't insane about 35 years ago. The risk and reward is no longer there. If your finishing 6 wins ahead of a side it really isn't fair. It's fun if your finishing 6th and upset the odds but that's it. At the very least it should be adapted so finishing 3rd guarantees a Wembley spot and 4th and 5th battle it out. Never liked it and if you lose it can really set a club back moral wise for a couple of seasons. Bin it for me. Bloody thing
  14. No thanks 1st,2nd or 7th and go again. Playoffs are a ridiculous out of date system where we may be finishing 7 wins above the 6th place team and not getting promoted. TOP 3 promoted, playoffs in the bin.
  15. Probably remembers the 4-2 when we were 3 nil up. That one too me was even better. Both trying to stay up and we both knew whoever won was probably sending the other down. Atmosphere was ridiculous that day in the wind. 5-0 was a fantastic day but we took the foot off. Should have been 7 or 8 they were that bad.
  16. 25million up front with 17.5 million add ons . Cost 35 so far.
  17. It's a while ago but I was being ironic. He did a fantastic job on not much. Sacking him was ridiculous.
  18. Losing 10 million a ear in this league seems a lot of money. That's not sustainable for a guy who's already spent 50 million plus on a basket case. Expect changes if we don't go up soon.
  19. Saw a load of chicken bones in a tray in a portaloo at a festival once. I can only assume they ate them in the most toxic environment on earth whilst taking a crap. Always stuck with me that vision.
  20. He'd be getting more game time if he showed more endeavour to get a ball back, or at least move into space when he loses it so the person who is getting it back for him has a place to put the pass. He looks quite quick but also mighty lazy in that regard. I get the vibe it was I'm top man, get me the ball at his old club. He won't get that here and is in danger of a quick exit if we have to be 2 up with 20 to go to give him a run out.
  21. My sister went to Croatia recently Dubrovnik and Zagreb and some place called Pula which has lots of Roman stuff. She's pretty much been more places than Phileas Fogg and rated it very highly.
  22. If we have no striker and no midfielder who can score a goal, we're needing to find a player who can score a goal or it's a long afternoon humping a ball at their defence who stand in a block and kick it back as much as possible.. Hourihane hasn't been great the last 3 games but I'd be tempted to have him playing 20 yards from their goal as much as possible and let him not worry about the tracking back bit. I'd also be pushing Sibley further up. We need a couple of goals and if Mendez Laing is up top he'll need support.
