Just like to say thank you for the piece about Jim Smith's memorial/funeral by Colin Gibson on Rams TV. Not only sensitively done but well done too on what looked to be a pretty foul day. Good to see Poomy and Colin Addison as well as Jasper Carrot interviewed, amongst others.

I look forward to watching Derby play more than anything. I honestly get a bit giddy before matches start. The fact that we can now watch matches we can't attend is just a dream. The main reason I wanted us to get promoted so much was so that I could watch all our games. Now I'm not even that bothered about going up, such is the greatness of being able to comfortably and affordably watch all our matches.
And yet... RamsTV. I think I hate you. Where do I start? Well, let's go over the positives, first.
Owen Bradley is great. And some of the guests are bearable. And we can watch (most of) the matches! (I'll come to that). This is (obviously), the biggest plus. And it's a huge plus. I will pay to watch Derby play whatever the quality of the output. It will massively outweigh any negative.
I think that's all the pluses.
Firstly, the service itself is shoddy. YouTube offers HD video for free, with ads. RamsTV offers a muddy, SD quality stream for a premium price, with ads, and regularly cutting out. It's not as bad as it was last season, but it's still pretty common to lose connection. Which is obviously unacceptable for a live, premium service.

Says on the FAQs, down to the home club to make the choice. If they say no then RamsTV can't show it inside the UK either. 

We were just as frustrated as you, trust me. Sorry it wasn’t up to the usual standard. 

I wonder if it's worth RamsTV doing a feature on RamsTV match day - to explain the issues about putting matches on (especially for away games), the different options that you may or may not have for taking the coverage/camera positions etc, what the rules are about covering certain matches and not others, a bit about the different commentators, which clubs are doing what in relation to developing their own channels, whether there's evidence that midweek coverage has reduced ticket sales, where it might go in the future.
Given that this is in it's infancy my view is that Rams TV as a whole is very, very good

So, another one coming up that won't be available. That's 5 out of 8 league games. Of those 5 only one (including the Leeds game) has been available to watch over here, and that's paying another 10€ a month. Luckily the next 3 appear to be available on RamsTV but with a couple of possibilities coming up after those. Yes, I know, it's not DCFC's fault. Just a ? tv deal for us ex-pats.

The new Academy Review show was excellent @OwenB87 except for your skinny jeans with two large mobile phones (or at least I presume they were).  You can carry the jeans off but perhaps the camera person could have the phones while you are doing your bit.

I know there have been plenty in the thread, but does anyone have any questions about RamsTV?
How we do what we do/why we do what we do/who makes decisions on running orders & content/how I prepare for a commentary etc etc.
We won't be able to answer everything, but I hope as the season goes on we will be able to answer a few!

FWIW the decision was made for me to takeover first team comms before Jack got the gig at Villa, so I’m really pleased for him.

From what I've seen/heard so far, you're doing a cracking job and will only get better with time.

I believe he was working for them before he came here, and is actually a Villa fan. No great surprise if he has gone back.
ps thought @OwenB87 did very well in the two matches so far

Worked fine for me today. Happily paid the £7.99, logged into the DCFC website using the browser on my smart TV and watched in full screen with no buffering at all. Well done to DCFC and Owen Bradley for decent commentary. Just a pity about the result

No worries Rich, I wouldn't have taken offence even if you were being serious - I'm quite aware that I'm not everyone's cup of tea. And I agree on Fish, he's top notch. And thank you for the kind words too!
