  1. Another one, @Carl Sagan. I can’t figure out whether this is real or not. We’re going to be dealing with that question all the time from now on.
  2. See my post above. And, to be consistent, when a train I'm due to travel on is cancelled because of strikes, I don't blame the workers.
  3. Am I not allowed to have an opinion regardless? I've been to more than enough away games to understand the commitment it requires.
  4. Not far away. Just the 6,760 kilometres. Hoping to make it in time for the invasion.
  5. I don't see it as bringing the club into disrepute because I don't think they're doing anything morally wrong. Others may disagree of course. One thing it has done is bring far more attention to the situation. I knew the fans were dissatisfied, but I only realised how bad it was getting when I saw them invading the pitch. Now, I'm not going to see that and be able to save the club, but far wealthier people than I may do. And it has multiplying effects too - I'm sure the national media are more likely to pick up on the situation when the fans invade the pitch, and that spreads the news further still.
  6. Doesn't mean our way was the only way though. Like saying the only way to protest against injustice is to do it in a way that inconveniences nobody. If it was the difference between my club surviving and going to the dogs, I'd do it every single time. I don't blame Reading fans one bit for doing everything they can to save their club.
  7. As much as it would be annoying to travel all that way for it to be abandoned, I think we should wholeheartedly support any attempt to draw attention to their plight.
  8. Forgot to add another fear, @Carl Sagan. I worry that AI music will have a significant effect on the music and movie industries (and all arts I suppose). When AI art becomes indistinguishable from, and "better" than, human art, where do we go from there?
  9. Yep. Seen a load of clips of him on podcasts recently and he just comes across as an egotistical, arrogant bell. I find this all quite funny.
  10. Nobody talking about that Welsh lad binning rugby for the NFL? Bold move...
  11. Luton have taken the opposite approach to Forest (perhaps out of necessity), and I'd back them to go straight back up next season if they go down and keep Edwards (which may be a hard task), or find a good replacement.
  12. 1) Where did he call for Warne out? 2) Is he wrong?
  13. Not solid, unfortunately. I've gone through the whole Beatles catalogue. Definitely want to get all the vinyl versions, but will be prioritizing stuff I haven't sat down and listened to before. George Harrison's All Things Must Pass is one I want sooner rather than later.
  14. Just ordered my first vinyl setup. I pulled Dark Side of the Moon, Rumours and Songs in the Key of Life out of my Mum's loft, but other album recommendations would be appreciated!
  15. I agree that it's often far more insightful listening to a tactical expert (e.g. Michael Cox) than, say, Michael Owen. There are exceptions though. Gary Neville's new series, Stick to Football, is absolutely brilliant, and a lot of it is Neville, Carragher, Keane, Wright and Jill Scott talking about their playing days.
  16. No knee, but I think you’ll forgive me for not wanting frostbite
  17. Were the "scuffles" always fists or did it involve bottles, coins, etc?
  18. Do you know by how much a world-class finisher would typically outperform their xG?
  19. At the Villa game, I chose to split from my usual lot and get tickets in the "singing section". Stupid, stupid decision.
