  1. Neat and tidy, young, intelligent footballer. Not much of a leader/motivator/focal point, not much of a tackler, weak in the air, not fast, 'safe' passer, isn't dynamic on the ball, not many goals. Flatters to deceive way too much for someone who is seen as a top end Championship player over a long period. Not fussed he's going. Sure other people see a lot more to like and I wouldn't argue, just how I see him. Poor man's Michael Carrick and he was massively rated, so what do I know!
  2. The Beekeeper Jason Statham ..and that's all you need to know really. Totally ridiculous storyline (avenging anti-hero) and lots of pretty violent action scenes which I enjoyed for the sheer lack of consideration of bystanders. Watched, laughed and enjoyed it, never to be recalled again probably. 6.5/10. Ebosele
  3. Society of the Snow Not totally sure what a remake of the 'Alive' film does differently, except not 'white-washing' the cast and so feeling a bit more authentic. Can't go wrong with the story, fascinating and well-handled. Otherwise pretty similar to the previous version. Good solid,Darryl Powell/7
  4. Saltburn I knew there was some kind of particular intrigue/shock connected to the film but couldn't recall exactly what... Can't recall what other's felt but I found it pretty decent. Reminded me a little of 'Cruel Intentions'. All bitchy, rich people looking down on others and making clever put downs. Dialogue was great, initally I couldn't quite work out where it was headed or exactly what kind of film it was. Quite stylish, good acting- Richard E Grant was really amusing - just a unusual and different film. I'd call it a black comedy with some kind of satire /social commentary. Solid 7 out of 10. A bit slow at times and the scenes that were a bit shocking almost took me out of the film rather than aided it. But definitely something different and well worth a watch.
  5. I know this will attract a lot of predictable comments/complaints... But The Apprentice is back, and me and the kids will be hooked as always. Good, amusing family entertainment, not to be taken too seriously. Week 1 was cringe TV of the very highest order. Few idiots and some irritating characters but enough who seem serious to make it interesting.
  6. Warne has been saying we want a striker...and we haven't got one, yet it's his fault that we haven't signed one. It clearly isn't his responsibility. But fans are twisting it so its his football that is the issue? What ?...his team a few points from automatic promotion is the issue? Seriously, blame him for lots of other stuff. But clearly our financial situation is the issue and/or our recruitment team. Other fans are blaming Clowes, forgetting he's already £50 or £60milion down? Really poor attitude. It's disappointing. But, a bit of realism wouldn't go amiss. We end the window stronger than we started it. Players to come back. I'd prefer to see what happens, listen to the explanation and the plan now, but toys are out the pram as per I see.
  7. If I were him, the fact we are desperately short of options and our only other striker is a workhouse, would suggest I have a decent chance of game time. We have decent crowds, are close to the promotion picture. Good for one final challenge of a career that's made me plenty of money but not exactly littered with trophies. Can't see I'd be overly excited but he may be decent for a few games.
  8. Bit of a 'Beast and the Beast' fairytale story! If those 2 young studs don't bring the female crowds in....who will??
  9. I made that point after that game too. We lost the midfield and were cut open at will. But we also created chances and were 'unlucky' in the end to lose against quality opposition. I enjoyed that game far more and felt more positive about our chances than after yesterday. Two great goals and some brief euphoria but we were so lucky that they missed from 2 yards- in that event there would have been even less to take out of the game. Surely lessons have been learned and we will sort the full back and midfield situation out. Probably by going 3 at the back. Also desperately need cover for Collins because he's fast becoming the horse from Animal Farm who will need boiling down for glue!
  10. The performance was pretty dreadful, no hyperbole. We played our 'Get out of jail' card today. Won't get away with it again. Its probably been 4 games now where we just haven't turned up - and concerningly it feels like we aren't addressing the issues. The performance was poor, the players were both sloppy and had no options. Hard to see what we intended. Points-wise we are still in it, but the performances need to improve drastically before our luck runs out.
  11. It was all a bit FiFa management today...because the idea was having Sibley and Wilson at full back gives us lots of attacking options, maybe even over lapping and tearing them to pieces!! In reality, Wilson had his worst game. Just kept trying to force it and losing the ball. CBT had no clue how /where to go and rarely got an opportunity to run with the ball. Sibley worked hard and did shrug his man off, but oh my he's slow to turn and loses his position. NML was really poor, only Barks had an 'average' game out wide. Forsyth and Niambe make us so much better its untrue and are better bringing the ball out and not turning it straight back over. 3 at the back is better for now though until we can get proper full backs in. Nothing came through the middle - at one throw in we had 7 Derby players within 10 yards. Every time we turned inside the passing was scruffy and we turned possession over. Collins was a (very hard working) by-stander for 80% of the game. Hourihane and Bird as a 2 was horrendous. Couldn't understand it at all. No options on the bench and just let a striker go on loan. An awful lot of injuries, quite a few to players with a history of it that we brought in regardless. Looking at the table, a defeat today would really have seen top 2 drifting away. I think Warne got lucky today and that hurts me to say because I want him to succeed. There needs to be a response because today I just couldn't see that result coming for most of it.
  12. Really poor performance, no better than Tue really. Substitutions gave us a chance. Two good goals, other than that we were really poor. Created nothing, built nothing. So many misplaced passes again. Still had time to give them an open goal from 2 yards they manage to clear themselves! Very very lucky today. Anything other than admitting that and Warne is testing my patience. We were crap...but live to fight another day. Needs sorting ASAP.
  13. Unfortunately I agree with every word. The most formless, half arsed performance since... well Tues! Worse than earlier in the season. The wheels need putting back on. Hourihane and Bird are just walking around. Just horrible this week. Needs addressing at half time urgently.
  14. There's a fine line between being annoying, aggravating... And too blatantly attention seeking.
  15. Wilson and Sibley full backs? Hourihane, Collins, NML, CBT, Barks... That is very attacking. My interest is peaked again.
  16. Every time I try to raise some positivity, I have flashbacks to Tue. Really was an incredibly flaccid, limp and unenjoyable performance...( Mrs Chester was non-too impressed either 🤣 ). 3 points and a decent performance or I'm seriously getting s**t-faced tonight and sulking for a week.
  17. If she keeps setting them up like that, you'll keep putting them away...🤣
  18. Not my answer to 'how do you eat your's ' ...but I take your point.
