  1. So many poor performances it beggars belief. Sloppy beyond-comprehension passing, lack of energy, no creativity.... just limp, scruffy and head-shakingly bad. Shaun Barker saying much the same to his credit. Concerning performance in those circumstances.
  2. Can't recall so many loose passes in a game ever.
  3. Elder again giving way top much space away.
  4. Top spot there for the taking and we turn in a first half where we look half cut. No one can be happy with that Thompson and Bird...maybe Wilson will feel they have been OK. Barks has touched it about 3 times all half. Collins has done nothing. Hourihane has been very poor. Definitely needs changes......
  5. Promising signs of a good game have dissolved into a really error-strewn mishmash of a game.
  6. Elder keeps giving too much space. Nelson and Cashin off the pace. Barks non-existent. Collins offside constantly. NML ineffective. Scruffy AF so far.
  7. Hourihane's passing has been appalling.
  8. The keep mentioning the size of the pitch, which I normally take with a pinch of salt - but there is a lot of space and the attackers on both sides look to be in the ascendancy. Interesting fact there that Derby are a couple of away wins from their most ever in a season... recalling those dreadful games under previous management it is a massive contrast.
  9. Seen all 5... loved all 5. Not sure there would be much to change even on a different day.
  10. Are you recalling any of 'that' Premier League season in these recollections?
  11. Its not like he was particularly tricky either, he just ran past him. It's not something I'd imagine you can develop that much either through practice. Love Cashin, so strong, so much heart, good passer, great in the air. But again a lot of that is endeavour rather than natural ability. Didn't look much different to Jake Buxton yesterday. Premier League looks a world away with display like that. Not that I'm overly bothered, I'd prefer him to stay.
  12. Two of the best series ever. True Detective 1 is some of the best writing ever. Finished series 1 of Kin. Can see the comparisons to Gomorrah but it's not at the level. Very good though, feels quite authentic and is engrossing.
  13. We have won 10 of 13 league games, and lost 1....and that was against a very good team who scored in the last minute. Hardly surprising some fans get irritated by constant negative comments. Financially we are on a sound footing, we are trying to make additions and we have a decent bunch of lads working their backsides off. Yet at the first sign anything may be amiss the toys go out the pram. We have a decent stadium and a fair amount of fans. But we are a League 1 club, recruiting on a budget for League 1 players, playing against teams all just as desperate to get out this League. We have no divine right to walk over teams so how about a bit of realism at times instead of constantly looking for things to moan about and maybe there would be a bit more harmony.
  14. Hadn't considered that...hmmm. Cashin somehow kept finding himself matched up one-on-one and isolated. So possibly..
  15. Decent game for 0-0. Derby dominated possession and at times really kept them hemmed-in. Poor final ball meant we didn't create much and just as it felt like we were about the force their defence open, they hit us on the break and the pressure went. Cashin started sloppily and then found himseld getting absolutely roasted. Left for dead 3 times and we were lucky they had their own version of Theo Robinson. Dead balls were really poor today. Our flair players had an off day and a draw was probably fair. Tues is a big game now.
  16. I take your point... But how many times do we say 'The coaching staff see him in training every day' etc? It's true, so maybe they aren't seeing enough to think he's got what it takes to make that step up?
  17. Random suggestion... What about about its the play offs scenario, unless the 3rd place finish a certain amount of points eg 5 ..10 clear of 4th, then they go up automatically. Or every 3 points gives them a goal start in the play offs. PS I think it's fine as it is really.
  18. He's definitely got very quick feet, lovely touch and great control. Potential... I guess you'd call it. Expectations are high because of that and his background. Hasn't had much chance to prove it and looks a bit lightweight at times. Depends how much he wants it, could be very good or flatter to deceive. Easy gamble to make. Fingers crossed. Hopefully get more attacking options than just him though.
  19. Likewise I'd love to see him flourish but can't see it. I do see the whole 'inverted' winger idea, using the outside of his left and driving towards goal. Robben didn't really have a trick either....BUT he had terrifying lightening pace. Sibley doesn't.... I don't think his crossing or ability to beat his man is good enough for left wing though. When we desperately needed that goal against Burton we kept recycling to NML out wide, and his ability to beat his man, go either way and shoot or cross was crucial. We need someone else who can do that. Sibley feels a bit pedestrian and predictable at times.
  20. Well.... credit for that. Exactly how I saw it too.
  21. Two separate things really for me.. We played decent football at times. We played attacking football. We scored good goals. We are winning games. The negativity is absolutely ridiculous at times. But today after playing pretty well, we switched off and Warne didn't react to what was occurring. It happens...
  22. Handling looked shakey, flapped a little and distribution is weaker. Wasn't at fault for the goals though.
  23. Agreed. Crazy defending for their 2nd. Warne didn't react to the way the 2nd half was going, disappointing. Game management was poor.
