  1. Yep, totally agree. Felt like Fortitude with a few comic elements and slightly strange 'mystic' vibes. Watchable but not really sure what it is..
  2. Series 1? The first time I watched it I was a little confused to be honest. Watched it a further 3 times and love jt more each time, just absolute quality. This latest Jodie Foster series is watchable but not on the same planet. Workmate was absolutely raving about Love/Hate- which is weird as its not new! Having already got it on my watch list from here, I pushed it up the list! Loved series 1. It's like Kin but better I think. Is a bit like an Irish version of Trainspotting.
  3. At this level you have to take gambles, you aren't going to get the finished article. Not the lad's fault... Trying not to on Warne's case with this, but he does seem to favour the gamble that he takes being on players with a poor injury record or getting on a bit and falling out of favour at a decent level. Rather than it being promoting youth or dipping into lower leagues for emerging talent, unproven at our level.
  4. Take your point.... But the NHS is under strain not because of King Charles getting cancer....but the deluge of 'mental health' issues, parents wanting diagnosis instead of looking towards their own parenting first, people wanting compensation for car accidents, millions of missed appointments, the obesity crisis etc etc
  5. Thinks.... watching football all day, imparting my wisdom and directing football tactics like a full time Football Manager addict....dream job. Start looking at the job description and key skills ....realise they are going to need experience, and an all-singing and dancing presentation with facts and actual reasoning that can be scrutinised.... Decide I actually prefer the current job I hate and convince myself I'm doing good for society as a whole. Develop amnesia within hours and start posting he only got the job cos he's connected to Rotherham, that he's no clue what he's doing and imparting vague advice about signing youngsters who can run more.
  6. Really interesting Buatsi /Azeem fight. Buatsi looked snappier, always had a immediate reply to a Azeem attack. Every time the straight jab rocked him back he threw a combination to show he was bossing it. Azeem's corner just kept repeating for him to step up the workrate, pressure with body shots...just basically outwork him. Commentators were saying the same. It all seemed so simple that the only explanation he wasn't, .. was either he was fearful of getting tagged or he was too tired. Last couple of rounds showed he was just absolutely f***** and had nothing more to give and was on his limit. Don't think Buatsi looked like he could mix it with the really big boys on that showing. Great domestic fight, not an audition for a World level fight considering the titans around his weight.
  7. His performance will have the biggest impact on them. He knows the modern Tiktok audience!
  8. My kids are loving him. Unbelievably quick head movement. Looks a real prospect, I feel you may be waiting a while.
  9. 'It had to Ebou It had to be Ebou I wandered around, and I finally found The somebody who Could make me be true'
  10. Think only NML would have taken that chance with such ease. Need him fit! Battling win. Not pretty but Charlton created little. League looks better tonight. Adams looks exactly what we need. Bird played well. Collins stayed fit. Plenty on the bench and more to come. Never is like Football Manager is it... Charlton had Ladapo and May, we didn't have CBT. And...we won. Names don't win games. Momentum, heart, luck.... fate? All looks very different without that goal but then was perfect for our back 3 and they managed the game well. Big result. Pretty decent performance. Great day.
  11. True Detective series 1 Fargo series 1 Mr Bates.
  12. Looks set free today. I'm not his biggest fan but he's been so progressive today, whether it's knowing he's going and or having extra legs in midfield...?
  13. NML looks menacing and dangerous hunting down the ball up front...Barks kinda lollops around not putting a lot of pressure on.
  14. Goal totally changed the game. Back 3 look solid. Adams looks good. Sibley improving. Bird playing well. Hourihane looks lazy, just passing it off when he has space. Ward been a bit wasteful. Collins not be very involved.
  15. Well he's certainly rung the changes. Can't say I'm immediately impressed but he's definitely had a think and not just thrown the same team out. Strong bench... should be goals.
  16. He's incredibly hard working, great pro and vital to our hopes this season ..hw does frustrate the f*** out of me by being offside so much. Wouldn't mind if he played on the shoulder and was pacy, trying to get a goal.. generally it feels like he's just not looking.
  17. Big game. Couple of really scabby performances and then a window where expectations have not been met - and so feelings are lower than you'd expect looking at the table. A limp display, no attacking intent and other results go against us, and the anti-Warne sentiments will be back at full pitch. With another rash of threads blaming him for everything from the pies to the traffic. A decent game, 3 points, good news on Washington, Niambe back, Bird not dodging tackles, and the new signings doing well... and we could be back on the edge of automatic and on a high. Reality as always is less polarised, but I do think it will feel that important with the way things are. Wildsmith Niambe Nelson Cash Sibs Adams Hourihane Thompson CBT NML Collins With Bird, Fornah, Wilson and Barks there are plenty of options on the bench.
  18. Proper night of boxing tonight. Buatsi v Azeez should be a great contrast of style. I'm guessing Buatsi is favourite with his 'skill' and height. Hopefully a proper tear up. Decent undercard, Adam Azim is always worth watching.
  19. All day long... Then chicken n mushroom Then meat n potato thankful there are veggie pies to stop them being left alone on the shelf
  20. Neat and tidy, young, intelligent footballer. Not much of a leader/motivator/focal point, not much of a tackler, weak in the air, not fast, 'safe' passer, isn't dynamic on the ball, not many goals. Flatters to deceive way too much for someone who is seen as a top end Championship player over a long period. Not fussed he's going. Sure other people see a lot more to like and I wouldn't argue, just how I see him. Poor man's Michael Carrick and he was massively rated, so what do I know!
  21. The Beekeeper Jason Statham ..and that's all you need to know really. Totally ridiculous storyline (avenging anti-hero) and lots of pretty violent action scenes which I enjoyed for the sheer lack of consideration of bystanders. Watched, laughed and enjoyed it, never to be recalled again probably. 6.5/10. Ebosele
  22. Society of the Snow Not totally sure what a remake of the 'Alive' film does differently, except not 'white-washing' the cast and so feeling a bit more authentic. Can't go wrong with the story, fascinating and well-handled. Otherwise pretty similar to the previous version. Good solid,Darryl Powell/7
  23. Saltburn I knew there was some kind of particular intrigue/shock connected to the film but couldn't recall exactly what... Can't recall what other's felt but I found it pretty decent. Reminded me a little of 'Cruel Intentions'. All bitchy, rich people looking down on others and making clever put downs. Dialogue was great, initally I couldn't quite work out where it was headed or exactly what kind of film it was. Quite stylish, good acting- Richard E Grant was really amusing - just a unusual and different film. I'd call it a black comedy with some kind of satire /social commentary. Solid 7 out of 10. A bit slow at times and the scenes that were a bit shocking almost took me out of the film rather than aided it. But definitely something different and well worth a watch.
