League game 22 was a comprehensive 4 - 0 away win at Wolves.
This put us on 43 points
From memory, it was absolutely freezing that day and Molineux was in a right old state. I think only two stands were being used then.
In 1984/85, game 22 was a huge 5 - 1 away win at Swansea City putting us on 35 points with goals from Charlie Palmer, Steve Buckley, Bobby Davison , Andy Garner and Kevin Wilson (his last goal for Derby before moving to Ipswich Town in January)

If my memory serves me right the pen was awarded when George Williams tried to tackle one of their players just outside the box , continued to slide on the water logged pitch ( totally under water) and collided with another Newport player in the box. Most bizarre pen I’ve seen given.
match should never have started as dangerous and cost us dear with Bobby D’s  injury

League game 20 was an impressive 3 - 0 away win at Doncaster Rovers. For some reason this was played on a Sunday.
My main memory of this game was being in the Donny end with my dad's mates and celebrating our goals & then being singled out by some locals as a 'scab'. As I was still at school I was a bit too young to be down the pit, maybe it was different in Yorkshire.
In 1984/85, game 20 was a memorable home game with Newport County in which we went 3 - 0 down. Following a tremendous fightback it was John Robertson who scored the equaliser as the game finished 3 -3.

    5) August 1992 - the pass back rule was introduced whereby players were no longer allowed to kick the ball to their goalkeepers for him to pick it up
I have memories of Alan Hansen & Mark Lawrenson doing this a lot for Liverpool, passing back to Bruce Grobbelaar
(for a bit of trivia, Grobbelaar grew up in Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) and has said that he grew up as a Derby County supporter)

I was at that game and went in the Gills social club before hand. Sat next to us was scruffy bloke with a copy of the racing post who whacked down 4-5 whiskies , all my group thought we knew his face but couldn’t quite place him. Any way at the game Rams 2-1 up with 15- 20 to play , bossing the game when they bring a sub on. The same scruffy bloke from the Social Club turns out to be Terry Cochrane the Irish winger who proceeds to tear us apart and they win 3-2. Think the Ice Cream Man Tony Cascarino played for Gills that day and Arthur tried to buy him a few times for us but failed on the back of his performance then.

My memory from this this game was getting bottles thrown at us as we were escorted from the station to the ground
& half the crowd was made up of Derby fans
In 1984/85 we won 2 - 0 at Cambridge Utd - a big game for me as it was my first away game without being 'escorted' by my Dad, thank God for the football special trains

League game 19 was a top of the table home clash with runaway leaders Reading which ended in a 1 - 1 draw.
Reading had the prolific goal scorer Trevor Senior in their ranks but it was Michael Gilkes who scored in this game
The crowd was the largest of the season so far - 16,140
In 1984/85 we got our 3rd straight league win at home to Orient 1 - 0
