  1. yes, it sounds like a too familiar problem mate, over thinking is a major problem and with life zipping by at 100mph I believe we are losing out on things that should be our priority, spending time with your girlfriend and family and going on holiday and just relaxing, forget the business, leave your phone at home and just chill and reflect.

someone I was talking to at the school gates a few month ago decided that he wasn't happy with life and went to Malawi, he helped out at an orphanage and lived a real basic existence, he didn't contact anyone for three months and came back a new man, he lost a few stone, he was more motivated and less depressed than at any other point of his life.

the tips I would give is this:

1.always leave your business at the doors of your business, never bring it home and don't even think about it, 9-5 is business time, not before or after.

    2. always structure your day, get up at a set time and go to bed at a set time.

    3. always take care with your appearance and never let things slip, your running a business, shape up.

    4. boredom is a killer, when you get work in the morning work out your tasks for the day and write it down, try and work through it and if not delegate to others to complete it.

5.walk, yep its a utopian ideology, go and take a lovely long walk and enjoy this country we are fortunate to have.

    6. change what you have been doing and set a new path, something is clearly not right and unfortunately depression can do some serious damage to your health and ultimately put you in a tailspin without a return ticket.

    7. go to America and stay a bit longer, it is probably not the country you think it is (especially under the Trumpmeister lol)

    8. go and have a ******* laugh you miserable ****, laughter is the best tonic and you cant buy it.

The grocery store routine annoys me a tad. At the checkout counter it's like filling out a survey. It's yes i want a bag, no i pay with cash and yes i want a receipt and then you get how many bags and do you have a store savings blabla card? and i don't know what else and i am going no i just wanna get out of here lady and the guy ahead of me is still putting away his four items and the couple behind me is getting restless and my crotch is itching and Donna Summer is discoing from the store speakers and the checkout girl is dreaming of Africa and my wife is giving me that warning look and i'm counting chickens and we're all in some kind of hell.

European Island, Caribbean no Africa

Getting my first tattoo tomorrow - Rams related!!

It will either be the only one I ever get, or lead to lots more - there's 4 or 5 ideas I have for others but want to see how I get on with this one first.

More bothered about the aftercare than whether it will be painful!

have a pint or two just before you have it done, takes the edge off

I really 'enjoy' all the posts here and credit to Daveo especially for his, because forums like this and social media in general - are central to the growing poor mental of young people especially.  Everyone is posting pictures of them going out having fun, meeting people ...larging it..pictures of holidays...concerts .how many followers  etc etc. Its all a facade...its like the Wizard of Oz..they aren't living the life you want or they'd be too busy enjoying it to let you know!! All the best for 2017.

Daveo has left, according to HMRC he owed £300k, the new guy is David

Mobile phones are useful - of course they are but for too many people (particularly amongst the young), their lives totally revolve around them and in that respect, it's a sad indictment of modern society. For many, their mobile has become a sixth digit, they can't go anywhere without the blessed thing clutched tightly in their hand.

    Oh yeah, well said.

We have a competition on how young and how expensive we can lavesh phones upon them, I am currently receiving the cold shoulder because I have refused to upgrade my daughters perfectly perfect phone for the latest phone that Izzy's mum has bought her, I have restricted data roaming and tethered her WiFi to stop her zombifying behavior and actually teaching her to speak to her parents once in a while, I would ban any mobile phone to anyone under the age of 18

I have worked in insurance and would never again, customers buying and using insurance are very difficult to please..mainly because its a product no one wants to pay for, and most consider that insurance companies are only trying to rip them off or avoid paying claims.

I can safely say, and i have no allegiance to any insurer anymore, that the majority of problems are caused by customers, insurers do not set out to try and avoid paying claims etc, unfortunately customers give them ample reason by failing to disclose relevant information when purchasing a policy, the reasons i have had given me for non-disclosure range from customers just forgetting through to ridiculous reasons, we used to ask them to put it in writing and i remember one guy actually stating in his letter the reason he failed to declare his motoring conviction history was because it would make his insurance more money, but he still maintained we were ripping him off by not paying.

Of course insurers do make mistakes and I have seen that happen, but by and large the majority of customers buy a policy, make a claims with no problems, but because insurance isnt something people like to buy you dont hear about that, but you do hear about the things that go wrong, same as many businesses i guess.

The problem is its one of those things you pay for year in year out and most people dont use that often to claim on so its seen as dead money.

When i worked in sales and claims  i got very disillusioned when working with the public, i guess when people decide to take it out on you because your insurance has gone up, or a claim isnt going as they want, and those funny quips they come out with that you have heard only a thousand times before you start to get fed up.

Unless you come from Afghanistan or Pakistan

  7. 97% of personal lines Insurance is paid out, any grievance with Insurance companies should be dealt with by the Insurer in a timely manner (T&C's) and to a satisfactory conclusion, all FCA registered companies should be abiding by "The Treating Customers Fairly" (PRIN), regarding accidents, always ask witnesses for an account of the accident, take photos of the vehicles when the accident occurred ensuring you take road signage to argue your case, I would also note the time the accident happened, rising number of accidents are by drivers messing about with phones, if the accident is severe the Police would check if the phone is active within your timeframe, this would save you defending your corner :p

thank God I don't insure anyone now, moaning ********

Making your own Yorkshire Puds and getting them spot on. Fluffy, light and melt in the mouth and all done with gluten free flour which is notoriously a pain in the arse for baking with.

I didn't mind about those fake watches until I learned that some of the money spend on those is used to finance terrorists in far east. Of course it's the case with other products too.

It should be destroyed like all fakes, if I took a fake Monet to France to have it authenticated and it was deemed a fake they would destroy it, so why not watches?

I read an article about a Rolex watch enthusiast whose mate had just bought a 'fake' for about a tenner. He said that the two were identical in every respect (except for the movement, of course), just that the fake was a little lighter in weight.

Ironically, the fake kept better time.

some excellent fakes on the market, I could easily pick out a fake watch from the 80's and earlier but new watches I wouldn't trust myself and was actually stung on a few occasions before I finished collecting.
