Dont mind this signing at all, i can see him bringing the best out in Collins who imo is capable of getting 20+ goals, he got 11 in the league last season being a bit part player compared to McG or being the guy who lead the press, if someone else does the running (Washington) & allows Collins to be in the box more he has shown with some of his finishes last season that he knows where the back of the net is....thinking Pompey & Port Vale at home, MK Dons Way.
Anyway, back to Washington, people have said about him replacing McGoldricks goals but for me he would be coming in to replace Osula's goals, I still think we will bring in a 1st choice striker (Smith/Nombe/Ladapo/JCH)

He speaks very well in his interview with the club. When asked what fans can expect he said “pace, power, running in behind is one of my favourite things to do”. Also acknowledged that he needs to score more goals, so he has that awareness, and wants to work on making sure he does. Spoke about the importance of the right system to help with that as well as his own efforts. Also said he’s fit and ready to go so must be over his injury/surgery.

Experience of promotion, international player, hard working and knows the staff so will hopefully settle in quickly. Might not be the glamour signing some want but I think he’ll earn a fair bit of support in time.

Squad starting to take shape, 5 new signings all with promotion experience, and some leadership quality to replace what we lost in Davies and Stearman. 
Really solid base to the team assuming it’s a back 3 formation like either of these. We need forward additions (hopefully @Big Trav and @DCFC1388 are right with Washington) but some signs of promise.

Where are those "Paul Warne can't attract players" people at the minute?
