What does this tell us
Players out of contract next summer: Liam Thompson, Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, Tom Barkhuizen, Conor Hourihane, Korey Smith, Martyn Waghorn, Louie Sibley, James Collins, Eiran Cashin, Max Bird, Craig Forsyth, Scott Loach
Mainly that when we signed players in the summer of 2022 that we could only offer two-year contracts.

According to the South London Press, we were interested in Charlton Athletic's Corey Blackett-Taylor on deadline day.

Makes you wonder why Sheff Wed wouldn't loan out Marvin Johnson.
They haven't registered Johnson and the player is left with nowhere to play now

If you look at the players who are out they are not bad to be fair. Joe Ward, Kane, Thommo, Birdy. Sibs will be back this week.
The full stop after “Birdy” means that the way it’s written grammatically, only Sibley will be back this week.

Shipping too many goals - defending last week was poor and at times complacent so be interesting to see how hard the opposition had to work for their goals this week.
1-0 up at the break, ended up losing 2-3. Both The Ewes goals were own goals and Steggles had a penalty well saved.
Not sure why Derby County Women only named four subs. Liverpool Feds named five.

Around the 10:35 mark, this makes it sound like Max Bardell will be out for some time with an injury. Jake Rooney is, obviously, the other long-term absentee Paul Warne refers to as Kane Wilson is back in full training and Joe Ward isn’t that far off a return either.
