  1. If the squad of players is that good then they should be able play better than that. I'm not defending PW, he has to take a very large chunk of the blame for our form all season but, once again, the players have to take their share of the blame. Only Cashin can really hold his head high tonight.
  2. FFS, some people take these pre and post match conferences way too seriously (or maybe just another excuse to have a go at PW?). I’d much rather he said publicly what he did than suggest it should be an easy win because we’re fourth and they’re 20th (ignoring the fact that they’ve recently taken points off Bolton and Portsmouth recently). That’s not a small team mentality it’s showing respect for the opposition (even if only for public consumption), and not showing too much over confidence or arrogance. Maybe, when talking to the team he talks about this being a game we can and should be winning but at the same time being careful to not take it for granted. Being too confident and complacent can be dangerous.
  3. Maybe Labour should have as well but sadly, that’s not quite how the opposition parties seem to work. I’m no particular fan of the SNP but if their only breach of parliamentary convention is to refuse to clap then I’m not sure anyone should be losing too much sleep over the matter. Maybe the relative scale of the breaches aren’t relevant but perhaps the suspected motivation behind them is.
  4. I generally agree but I don’t think no clapping is quite on the same scale. Do you?
  5. I don't think it's as simple as that. The SNP put forward a motion calling for an immediate ceasefire. Both the labour party and the government put forward amendments for debate. Apparently, by parliamentary convention, an amendment put forward by an opposition party (labour) to a motion put forward by another opposition party (SNP) is not voted on if there is also a government amendment. So, whilst he seems to acted within his powers by allowing a debate and vote on the labour amendment first, there are serious questions regarding his motives for breaking with convention. I have no idea what the implications were on his actions regarding the amendment agreed upon. Could the amendment have been different if he had stuck with the convention or are the government and the SNP just having a tantrum over the reasons for his decision. 🤷‍♂️
  6. I don't think anyone is doubting your long standing loyalty to the club but the discount is, and always has been, designed specifically at people that have purchased a season tickets for a certain number of consecutive years. Like @Mucker1884, I don't mean to come across as smug but it does seem fair. p.s: what do you mean "for the most part contracted out"? What/who was contracted out of what?
  7. Aren't you putting words in his/her mouth? Did He/she say we're a "poor team"?
  8. The FAQ’s say there is an arrangement fee (as opposed to interest 🤷🏻) of 10.17% for the 10 month plan.
  9. Where have you seen the actual number of 3pm games affected for each club or are you estimating?
  10. You could have purchased a season ticket for the pandemic year and if you had it would have been carried over to the following season (I think you also got to watch the games “free” on RamsTV). Meaning, if my memory serves me correctly, you would have paid for the ticket during the pandemic season but, if you renewed rather than requesting a refund, the following season was free. This would have retained your continuous purchase history. I assume you chose not to do this. Consequently, the option was there and IMO a gesture of goodwill is not appropriate. Sorry buddy.
  11. As well as Bolton at home, Barnsley have three tricky away games to navigate (Stevenage, Portsmouth and Blackpool). I have this funny feeling that it might well be decided by teams dropping unexpected points rather than how they perform in their tougher games.
  12. We must be more hardy where I sit then in the East Stand. I’d say nearer 10%.
  13. I disagree. In assessing the manager the much more important question, from the chairman’s perspective, is “is he achieving the goals for which I appointed him?” A different question is “if he hasn’t yet, at which point do I decide whether to sack him or not?” Only DC and PW know if he is on still on track to achieve his objectives within the timescales set. One thing we do agree on though is that I also don’t think he’ll be sacked any time soon.
  14. I agree it shouldn’t be outsourced but I disagree over why many people are happy to get rid of her. I reckon it’s just a case of “not our problem - let someone else deal with her”. Also, I don’t think said “Islamic brides” is an issue unique to the UK nor necessarily a reflection on the state of the countries they originated from. I really don’t think Begum chose to go to Syria because of the state of the UK. Surely she, and any other schoolgirls that have done the same, have done so because they feel a duty or a calling to go.
  15. But the football is appalling isn't it? People are fed up with Warneball aren't they? Season ticket sales will drop if we carry on like this won't they? 😀
  16. Fair enough. I can imagine hospitality may not have been as popular as the club had hoped but those numbers must be relatively small.
  17. I no particular order but mine might well include: Breaking Bad Gomorrah Subarra Black Mirror Game of Thrones Boardwalk Empire Caliphate Narcos Chernobyl Fargo With honourable mentions for: Killing Eve, Das Boot, Happy Valley, Westworld and House of Cards. I know, I've cheated and listed 15.
  18. A third didn't attend though? I know it was a Tuesday night but that sounds like a staggeringly high number and is almost too insane to believe.
  19. Assuming there were a couple of thousand from Northampton, are you saying the actual crowd was only c16k + freebies? Seriously? I find that very hard to believe unless they give away something like 5000 tickets which sounds like a very high number. Stunning if true. I also thought that it had been determined that the club now only counts actual attendees. To add, if we have sold 20,000 season tickets, are you suggesting more than 6,000 of them didn't attend the Northampton game?
  20. Surely, subject to some anomalies (e.g. Bolton being gifted Wildsmith’s sending off) whoever grabs the automatic play off places truly deserves it? The fact that Bolton’s tough run has come towards the end of the season is kind of irrelevant in terms of who deserves a top two finish.
  21. Oh no. We’ll be back on the blue shorts campaign again before you know it. 😀
  22. I thought the same about their CB. He’s clearly not a gifted ball player and is there primarily to head and clear the ball. We were content to let him have the ball, aware that he wasn’t going to play a dangerous ball forward. But by not pressing him we simply allowed him to play a simple ball to someone else with more ability. Very fine margins. I’m not sure we’d batter them at home but I wouldn’t fear them in the play offs.
