I was behind the goal at Cheltenham just above the stairs, there was one middle aged lady steward trying single handedly to clear fans off the stairs, looking at their tickets and them telling them where to sit.

All she got was abuse and no one moved and in the end she just gave up.

Carlisle was bad too, it was basically just like standing on a terrace…

Game against Fulham as well where we dominated, but we just couldn’t get over the line. Think they were down to ten men too.

Yes , Craig Fagan dive brought a second yellow out , from memory.

Do you think there is much chance that as a non season Ticket holder I will get tickets for the Shrewsbury game? Really want to go as because of the f****** stupid international break it might be my last chance of seeing a game for a year apart from maybe this Christmas as I'm going to work in Asia.

Only seen us play 4 home matches this season ,no wins all absolute ballocks so would be nice to get to an away game.

Probably not, if you have an away membership maybe but pretty sure this will be gone before general sale, only 1656 allocated.

Away Ticket Membership Holders that attended 15+ away games last season (one ticket per Fan ID) - On sale 3rd October 2023 (10am)

Away Ticket Membership Holders that attended 10+ away games last season (one ticket per Fan ID) - On sale 5th October 2023 (10am)

Away Ticket Membership Holders that attended 5+ away games last season (one ticket per Fan ID) - On sale 7th October 2023 (10am)

Away Ticket Membership Holders (one ticket per Fan ID) - On sale 9th October 2023 (10am)

Season Ticket Holders (one ticket per Fan ID) - On sale 11th October 2023 (10am)

General Sale (one ticket per Fan ID) - On sale 13th October 2023 (10am)

PS I would try the home club maybe ?

Somewhat contradictory! Claiming  Clough was sacked when the team were flourishing yet providing the dire attendances at that time. He had 4 years and we were going nowhere , with little entertainment. Warne has had 12 months and massive restrictions on signings, with no Barker type fees. His football is no better but he deserves more time

Cough signed over 60 players in his tenure, and the team were not flourishing at the end. His last game in charge was a dismal defeat 3-0 (?) at home to somebody I cannot recall, he played Hughes as a sub on the right wing. There is a lot of sympathy for but it tints the facts a little bit. He was stubborn, and still is.

Quickly twigged the applause was starting, and a quick glance at the clock (showing 31 mins) confirmed my suspicions, thanks to @CBRammette's related post on here yesterday, so quickly stood to join the masses.
I soon noticed that play had stopped, and that players (of both sides) were joining in... as well as the benches and even the officials too.

The only thing I didn't notice was when/how the game stopped?
Was it an official signal from the ref?
Was it a case of the ball going out of touch (or becoming dead due to a foul etc) by coincidence, and then a deliberate act to not immediately restart?

It matters not, of course... am merely curious.  🤷‍♂️

Either way, as already stated, it was most moving, and for want of a more appropriate phrase under such sad circumstances, rather magnificent.

    🤍

I didn’t officially stop, the ball was back with Wildsmith (somehow), on the floor , and everyone just stopped playing.

This  - has history really said he wasn’t the right person? 9 years on and I’d snap your hand off for his final seasons finishing position and the squad he’d built…

Almost impossible to compare then to the post apocalyptic phase we are now in. It may take another two years to get us into a position to challenge consistently well to go up.

  7. I drove to the Reggiana game, pretty sure it was postponed a day because of fog ? We got kicked out of our first hotel as one of our party had an explosive vomit moment after several drinks at the bar, hosted by the owner. There was a bar in the town  that was drunk dry by the Derby fans, peacefully, and the owner had a restaurant in Bradford so spoke very good english. Crowd was under 600 and 300 were derby fans 😂

My wife is a breast cancer survivor as well (surgery, chemo and radio). Managed to keep her hair as well thanks to a cold cap which sounds a nightmare in itself. Seriously dented her self confidence and self esteem though.

The mental scars are the hardest thing to deal with, and all we can do as partners is be there to help as long as we can. Not rhat it matters but my wife didn’t have breast cancer, but a more aggressive one and the fact she is here still is extremely fortunate. A lot don’t survive sadly.

  9. My wife is a cancer survivor, now almost 4 years and she is doing brilliantly well. She was “lucky” to have had an early diagnosis and that meant her treatment saved her life, (surgery and chemo). It is sad someone so young wasn’t able to be saved, it must be absolutely horrible for him, and children ?, almost impossible to recover from emotionally. My heart goes out to him.
