Any idea where you can get hold of the 95/96 numbers & lettering???  Got hold of the home shirt and wanted to put 10 Asanovic on the back with the Premier league patches.  No problem getting hold of the right patches, but ebay only have the season after's numbering when they changed to the rounded font...

Hope they win the euros next year and Southgate resigns and Frank takes over after one year at Chelsea.

    See how they like it.

Plus a few weeks for the FA to fanny about before offering it to him, despite being the preferred candidate...

  4. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/nov/12/chelsea-players-fined-twenty-thousand-pounds-late-training-frank-lampard-football

Chelsea’s manager, Frank Lampard, has imposed a strict disciplinary regime on his young squad with a range of hefty fines, including £20,000 for being late for the start of training. Players are also charged £500 for every minute they are late to team meetings.

Any player not reporting an illness or injury before a day off or an hour-and-a-half before training can expect a £10,000 fine, while lateness for treatment, medical appointments or match day departure will cost £2,500. A phone ringing during a team meal or meeting will set a Chelsea player back £1,000, as will wearing the wrong clothing for team travel or match days.

I have a feeling the Sheffield United night end up like Blackpool. Exceeding all expectations at the start of the season, before falling away at the end.

But I’m here to be proven wrong.

And the same thing could happen to frank after this purple patch.

Well just have to see where everything lands at the end of the season.

He is definitely being groomed to be an England manager though. A lot of things have to fall into place before it ever happens, but I’m sure the fa are keeping an eye on his progress with interest.

No chance, Wilder is 100x a better manager that country bumpkin Holloway.

How wide is the road then?
1m for single file cyclists on road
1m for minimum gap between cyclist and car. 1.5m is recommended at 30mph and higher in poor weather or higher speeds.
    1.8m for standard car width.
    Standard road width = 3.65m

In most cases, you should be going over to the other side of the road when overtaking. Therefore, it shouldn't make a difference if the cyclists are single file or 3 side-by-side.

As i stated in the original rant, they were 3 abreast in certain groups (there were around 20 riders) and their little convoy stretched for around 50 meters, so didn't exactly give much space to overtake on the stretch of Markeaton Lane that runs past Mundy Play Centre car park.  I had to wait for the funkin idiots to pass tight left/right handers just past the garden centre before overtaking their stuck up, inconsiderate little party...

Sister has always grilled hers for 30 seconds either side.

I never spoke to her throughout my entire teen years.  In fact, I couldn't even bear to look at her!  She's 60 on Monday... Lord knows how, with that sort of diet!

That's nothing, my Mum still insists on microwaving her's...

my closest friends didn't give their kids dummies, and instead encouraged them to be chatty and talkative, now, my god-daughter is 19 and godson is 14 and they are absolutely awesome, I mean truly awesome. They can be cheeky, and charming in equal measure, but they are prepared for the most important thing in the world, interaction. They were well behaved kids and learned that speaking/communicating instead of screaming tantrums was the best way to get what they wanted, and as such were brilliant to look after, and very amusing when they were trying to get something they wanted.

Obviously, some parents will want more peace and quiet, but as has been said, it's a quick life watching them grow, so get as much interaction and bonding as you can when they're learning.

If I have kids, I will try to raise them as my godkids have been raised.

This.  Our lad had a dummy for about a month and he's a proper gobby so & so.  I also thinks it's how you talk to them as well.  Wherever possible I've never dumbed conversations down, and talked to him as I would an adult.  Helps with their vocabulary and they're able to understand stuff quicker.

  9. Whenever me & the Mrs find out someone is expected, we congratulate them, then immediately inform them that 90% of raising a baby is an absolutely soul sucking ball-ache of the highest order.  But you can make it easier by doing two things.

Firstly, get as much sleep as is humanly possible, cus you're really gonna miss it when it evaporates.

Secondly, whatever you do, no matter how much you want to, DO NOT engage with them in any way when you're changing their nappy, or giving them a feed at night.  Baby's sleep patterns are learnt over time, you start making goo-goo noises and making faces at them at 3 in the morning, they think it's play time, and their body clock adjusts to suit.  This is something we learnt the hard way, as the lad didn't sleep through the night until he starting going to school.

PS. All this breast is best business is betty swollocks in our opinion, our lad is very switched on at school and was off the wife's milkers after a week or so, of trying, and mostly failing, due to the complications @dog refers to.

PPS. Make sure you & the Mrs are on the same page when it comes to telling them NO.  It saves vast amounts or arguing for the rest of your lives together...

  10. I currently own a battered old MKIV Golf V5.  Counting the days that I can get rid of it cus it's lumpen, slow (surprising, considering it's 230bhp), thirsty as hell and is covered in dents, prangs & scratches.

Considering either an A3, 1 Series, or Leon Cupra as a replacement.  Anybody enlighten me on any of those??

He would have settled in a new country with new team mates immediately?

Sudden adjustment to the premier league?

1 player can keep a poor team up?

You also vaguely say 'If Sala was alive'. If he was somehow alive after the crash, i'm sure he would have had some injuries and psychological issues from being involved in the plane crash. He probably wouldn't have played this season at all.

tbh? you're not being honest at all are you?

He means he signed him on Football manager and he scored for fun...

To be fair, getting rid of the home button and introducing ‘the notch’ in the X is quite a big design change. I have thought this though, from a design point of view eventually all phones will just be one big touch screen, so there won’t be much you can do to make them stand out from a design point of view.

Also, it’s funny how things cycle round and so quickly. Remember less than 20 years ago that Nokia were the absolutely undisputed champions of the world. Didn’t seem like they’d ever go away. But now where are they? So you may be right. Eventually Apple’s light may start to fade. Gone are the days of Woolworths or whatever being a power house for 100 years, especially in the tech industries.

Over my dead body before I switch to Android though.

The only thing bothering me about Apple at the moment, and what will make me think twice about upgrading is the absence of a home button.  Huawei, OnePlus and a couple of other manufacturers have managed to embed a fingerprint scanner into the screen so I can't see why Apple can't as well.  I don't want to have a phone where I have to pick it up and look like I'm taking a selfie every time I want to unlock it...

  13. Saw a trailer for Cleaning Up with Sheridan Smith the other day, looks pretty good.  Starts next Wednesday.

I'll also be watching True Detective season 3 on Sky Atlantic, and the new adaptation of War of The Worlds on the BBC1 when they start in the next few weeks.

That was a weird one. 6/10 for me, for some interesting ideas & OK effects but I felt it sort of petered out towards the end, like they ran out of confidence/ideas & didn't really know what to do with it.

That's why it only got a 7.  I thought it was well staged, and suspenseful, but scenes in the lighthouse were a little too ambiguous.  The last little twist, despite being fairly obvious, redeemed it slightly
