Dont you think it just a little strange that after so long we still don't exactly know what the specific allegation is...just vague accusations of "systematic cheating" and we still don't know its supposed "value" to enable the administrators to account for it in any negotiations with bidders....AND still no date to take to court or arbitration?
As the claimant, if sure of a strong case you would think he would want it take forward his claim ASAP....makes me wonder why he doesn't

I was at the Brum game with the missus and two kids, I work full time nights so midweek games are a no go.....I also live in Brigg, North Lincs, the cost for tickets and travel and everything inbetween is alot, so can't get to as many games as I would like......but my love, passion, and support for this team, I dare anyone to say is not the same as those that can get to games week in week out quite insulting, the support at the Birmingham game was the best I've heard since Brighton in the playoffs (I was a season ticket holder that year and my son who was 5 at the time) from the info I trawl on social media it seems this has continued.....22000 there last night, but what a support and what a noise....all in it together, we fight till the end ???

I welcome you too. No point blaming ALL Boro supporters. I know you had a terrible situation yourselves....I suspect the difference would be that no other Club were sticking their oar in and asking for cash when you were skint? That's the difference. We are uniquely vulnerable at the moment, "unique" not because we are special, and not because we want to unpunished...we just resent another Club piling in. I think you would feel the same the other way round and I van promise I would hate my Club doing what your Chairman is doing.

I'm not a Mel apologist by any means, but I keep reading 'Mel conned us' as a regular comment in this thread. How did Mel con us? From my understanding he didn't con us as he thought the amortisation policy had been confirmed by EFL as acceptable.
If the amortisation policy hadn't been accepted initially by the EFL, would Mel have carried on using it? - No I don't think so, we would have used the straight line policy as per EFL suggestions. BUT, there was no recommendation to use only a straight line amortisation policy. If the amortisation policy hadn't been accepted initially by the EFL, would there have been proceedings hindering any takeover process - possibly but that would have been down to the arbitration process related to the stadium valuation (which we were found not guilty of). If the amortisation policy hadn't been retro-actively deemed by the EFL to be unacceptable, would we have failed FFP in the years we did? - I doubt it, once we knew we were only to use the straight line policy we would have cut cloth accordingly. The only thing we were found guilty of in the arbitration process was not making the footnote describing the amortisation policy clearer. But the arbitration process did conclude that this wasn't done in order to mislead.
I agree that Mel putting us into administration doesn't put him in the best of lights, and he didn't make the stadium sale public knowledge until after the fact, but to say he conned us is a bit over the top in my eyes.

Lets say for the sake of arguement that Boro would "accept" £3m (how kind of them). This overlooks the fact that, in insolvency law, this does not represent a "debt" that the administrators can legally pay, particularly if it had to be Paid as a football debt at 100% when other creditors (like HMRC) are likely to be forced to accept 25%. It is just not possible for the Admins to bung Gibson cash to go away. Can you not get this??? Seriously??

As I said yesterday, Boro/Wycombe will almost certainly do and say nothing. That is their strongest weapon, whilst the EFL impotantly wring their hands.
Boro/Wycombe will only move if offered money. If offered money it legitimises their claim and we will forever be labelled cheats. If offered money then real creditors will be disadvantaged and in any case it would probably expose the Admins to legal action against them. This is why Boro/Wyc will simply sit there and do nothing because unless the EFL change position, the impasse remains.

True. But you know you lost the 6 before that (in March) so dont pretend that run of results are just the imagination of Derby supporters.
