You'd like to think so but this league has a habit of throwing out some unexpected results. Their current form is shocking but they have picked up points away at both Oxford and Peterborough as recently as the back end of October.

Yep, you're right. Both away games for them as well!

    Well said .

A small group of us 63-65 year olds get together a couple of times a year for a few beers .We went out last Saturday night and got talking about the "good old days" getting the cane ,slipper, dodging the board rubber, p*ss taking, having a laugh everyday, and SARCASM. We got to pondering if there was such a thing as Herbert George Wells Time machine ,and  a 100 13-14 year olds went back to "our" old school in 1973 (At least they would see some GREAT football at the BBG).How many would cope how many would suffer with nervous breakdowns. Would all of them be offended ?

My point is we seem to have lost the ability to accept a bit of "mickey taking", and are too quick to take offence and get upset over trivial comments.

Oh here we go - 'the good old days'

For me it has to be Fornah, Bird and Thompson as our central 3 all day long - Thompson has such energy, such tenacity and rat-ability,,,,, if he’s fit he’s first choice in my book. If we don’t he’s going to want to leave to go somewhere else to get game time and that would be an absolutely ridiculous situation to get to !!!

I'm not sure there's enough physicality with that midfield three. Fornah's very athletic, sure, but I could still see us getting bullied by some teams.

I hope Thommo stays but I expect Bird to be gone in January, so I'd love to see a proper bruiser replace him. Someone in the Eustace/Shinnie mold.

I don't understand why someone who's tall has to be good in the air. He's got a few inches of advantage, but that doesn't mean he's going to use that advantage. If he can't judge the flight of the ball it makes no difference if he's 6'5" or 5'6".

Well if you aren't going to use that advantage, that's an issue in itself.

And if he has used that advantage to make thousands of headers in his career, you'd like to think that experience would help him to judge the flight of a ball.

He played well against Northampton but has been bad in every other game I've seen him. Even at Port Vale the very first thing he did was completely run underneath a long ball and not challenge for it. Seems to be his biggest issue - when he's built like he is he is so tentative in every challenge. Only chance he's got of game time is if there's an injury or Warne tries the ill-fated 352 again.

That was comical to watch. I don't understand how someone who's 6ft5 can misjudge the flight of the ball quite as bad as he often does.

Got to love the start of summer, Good Times festival today. Not really looking forward to the 35deg and high humidity though, 33 deg at 10.00 am.

That's a very decent lineup! How was it?

I went to Download this summer and really struggled with the heat overall. Think it topped out at 30deg.

  7. Only just seen the video today.

In my opinion, that's an ice hockey version of 'leaving one on' an opposition player. Unfortunately, he's caught his neck as opposed to the other 99% of his body that's protected. A bit dirty for sure, but it wasn't intentional.

    RIP Adam Johnson.

I've had enough now.  I'm getting to the stage where I don't even want to watch us play.  Been watching them regularly since 1965.......Worst team I've ever seen

I'm the same - missed the last 3 home games for other engagements. If I get an offer to do something else on a Saturday afternoon/Tuesday evening, football now falls by the wayside for me.

I can't even be arsed to come on to this forum to discuss it. Utter dross.

  9. Finished watching Netflix's One Piece last night.

I haven't watched the original animated series (there's over a 1000 episodes) but I thought it was good fun with some interesting characters. SFX leaves a bit to be desired, however, and the overall silliness of it won't be for everyone.
