  1. I would make the argument that two up is preferred - what with Warne's predilection for 3-5-2. Much prefer NML wide - let him isolate a full back one on one.
  2. Based on the last few games, we're playing two up top. Blackett-Taylor, Barkhuizen, Wilson, and NML are fighting for two wide spots - based on the last few games. JJ's playing central striker alongside Collins - his other competition are both injured, Waghorn and Washington.
  3. I'm not just being difficult here - do you not think the players we signed in the summer are not degrees better, at least on an individual basis?
  4. Not a bad shout, but looks like he's mostly played CM/AM
  5. or... We're keeping our powder dry. Why pay more than we need to for a player that's out of contract at the end of the season? When buying a house do you immediately go in at asking price? and Burton fish in a different pool than we do - I don't think we've ever been both linked for the same player at the same time...
  6. Yeah, loan screams Champ and above to me too, but in this market I guess you can't rule anything out. Weghorst to United last season, for example.
  7. I wonder if it's the lad from Brentford - Olakigbe - came on in the first half of extra time in their cup game vs. Wolves.
  8. We've been linked because Warne likes to go watch Didzy. Nothing in it, too pricey for us.
  9. Done by your friendly neighbourhood muppet mod. No, not that one, I meant me.
  10. Locked until actual source arrives.
  11. Probably needs to sack his agent for letting him sign for Reading in the first instance.
  12. Other tidbits from this article, include the aforementioned by @David, Harry Arter has banked £6m since his last game for Forest Omar Richards signed for £8.5m from Bayern Munich, whose medical somehow missed a fractured leg
  13. Right up until their first we looked in control. Burton offered nothing, with two well-worked goals from us. Collins looks better with another striker occupying another of the central defenders, and while John-Jules didn't have anything more than a solid performance, he certainly didn't do too much wrong. I thought Steele was overly critical of him post-match, he's not found any form yet due to his injuries and how carefully they are managing him, but I've seen enough to be glad he's extended to the end of the season (though it's not been formally announced yet). Then we did not react at all to their changes, and give away two silly goals. Three players marking one man while Seddon marches on and scores, and a really poor moment from Elder to let Hugill clean through. I sympathise with Elder though, he's clearly lacking match fitness, and it showed last night. Thought the midfield was mostly absent again, but I suspect this is down to the way we're playing - we're bypassing them by going wide at any opportunity.
  14. Sheep 2-0 Burton Hopefully the only beers scoring will be in the concourses. FRGS Collins.
