Completely exposed our one dimensional way of playing, if getting it wide and chucking it in the box doesn't work we really have no clue.

NML, CBT, Collins were all poor, Washington looks like he won a competition to be a footballer.

Smith had a good game, as did Sibley and Wildsmith.

Warnes in game management poor as well, too slow to make changes in the second half and even when they did come he didnt do enough. Looked too scared to lose the point to actually go for it.

Its another game in this season thats a missed opportunity, and another game they bored me to tears.

If Washington won, CBT must've come 2nd.

  2. This is only my opinion before people shoot me down with the fact that he's our only pace option. However, I think Mendez Laing would be far more effective as an impact sub rather than starting. Now Barkhuizen is fit I'd rather start with him as I believe he's technically a better, cleverer player. NML is all explosive pace and burns himself out too quickly to be effective for long. Numerous times last season he'd end up giving the ball away leaving us exposed to counter-attacks and not bother to chase back. Again in the Carlisle match he tried his usual step-over, lost the ball and made no attempt to win it back because he's too knackered.  Also, the extra international matches are wearing him out. Would it not be better to use him more conservatively to get the best out of him?

  3. I like to think I'm quite a rational person and not given to overreacting and much prefer the more balanced opinions on here. I know a season isn't won or lost after 3 games but I can honestly say we have looked like a pub team over those 3 games (yes, even the 3-0 win). I cannot see any pattern in our play, the defence is laughable, the midfield invisible and the forward line toothless. This just seems to be carrying over from the end of last season. I hoped that with Warne getting his own players in to play the way he wants to play we'd see an improvement but these 3 performances have been shocking and I struggle to see us improving enough. It's frankly, embarrassing! I really dont want to watch it. Oh, how I long for Arthur Cox.

Be 4 years in December Archied. I have a long way to go but can totally relate to what you are saying. Being happy seems a long way off currently 👍

It's the greatest pain anybody could ever suffer.  It shatters you and you spend the rest of your life trying to put yourself back together.  Some of the pieces will always be missing though.  You learn to live around it, but it's never easy. Wishing you all the best.

The piece on his Pateron account is slightly longer and names Derby in the Godden exit sentence

Oh, ok. Wouldn't want to pay to read Nixon though 👍

Apparently two Championship clubs are set to match our offer, so we’ll see. Depends who they are I suppose but Knight’s been training at our training ground all week so he’ll be familiar with what we have to offer.

My source is a bloke on our forum who’s nailed absolutely everything this summer. No idea who he is but he’s literally calling everything right. Understand why you’d dismiss it but honestly if he’s said it, it’ll be correct.

I’d be seriously excited if we manage to get Knight in. I had a look at your squad the other week and I was thinking I’d love us to be in for Roberts, Knights and Cashin this summer. Didn’t think we’d get 1, let alone potentially 2.

Anyway, might not happen but just wanted to gauge a consensus on whether that bid will be enough. As it’s our first bid I imagine it’ll be rejected anyway.

Clearly your ITK sources are better than ours (not difficult as we ain't got any) 😉

Thompson isn't a Warne type player despite winning 60% of his 5 aerial duels during his limited game time. There is absolutely zero chance Warne would be interested in a CF who won 8% of his 49 aerial duels and one who played almost every game last season.

May only competed for 49 aerial duels. I'm certain Warne won't even consider signing a CF who has won less than that. Harrison, Smith, Nombe and Cosgrove would be more realistic targets based on style.

I'm a bit confused, pretty sure I've kept up with the thread but, who's Thompson?

I heard he had been in talks with us we’re after Langstaff but allegedly Notts quoted £2m .

rodrigues around £150,000k + add ons

didsy not close to signing with us again according to Ben Osborn

Thought Rodriguez is out of contract so no fee?

Sam Smith would be a risky move. He's scored 5 in 5, but only 6 in the 36 league games before that. 15 league goals last season, but his previous best was only 7 and that was in League 2.

Josh Key is 23 which means compensation. Championship clubs are already interested, so no chance

Smith hasn't always played as a number 9 though.
