  1. I wonder if Birmingham are still up for a party?
  2. Beterbiev has injured his knee, so the Bivol fight is postponed to end of 2024 😑
  3. Possibly We Own This City, but only a marginal preference. Kingdom might not appeal so much to non MMA fans, but it's a good series too. You'll like Dopesick too. I put it up on here when it came out and it's very good.
  4. I think you make a good point. Some players settle quickly and some not so much and I think there are valid reasons for him not having been at his best in a handful of outings for us. Folk can compare their working life to that of professional athletes, but football isn't a process and intangibles like form, health / fitness and confidence are all key. There's a lot more 'moving parts' in play for CBT and his peers than in a more conventional career and that's before you take into account the expectations of a large and quite demanding fanbase, which brings its own pressure. Caveats notwithstanding, I do think we'll see a fitter and more confident player next year and hopefully quite an exciting one too.
  5. You're right, but it's an interesting proposition, if only that. I've always said I rated him, but before the injury, this lad surprised me with how much his technical ability had developed and he'd already looked a decent footballer beforehand. I thought he looked to have come on a bundle physically too, looking sharp, strong and certainly not shy in a tackle. He could yet prove a really good bit of business.
  6. And at home one imagines. Absolutely no way that fecker's been able to wipe his own arse in decades. He'd need chimpanzee arms to reach! As far as the mods undertaken on the workplace dunny are concerned, an in-built Karcher pressure washer would be my guess.
  7. I think I posted elsewhere that I didn't expect him to be first choice, but that he'd be a great squad player. I do hope that the club are restrained though and only offer short-term contracts to the older players. That said, Collo embodies a lot of what is best about this club and if he has secured another contract, it's thoroughly well earned. I think we will look to consolidate next season, not the sexy option I concede, but perhaps a necessary one before we can try to mount a serious challenge and IMO Collo definitely has a part to play in that process.
  8. Hope the manager doesn't see this. Cash has clearly smoked half a ganja plantation here 👀
  9. A valid point, well made. Sadly, the levels of remuneration demanded by players and their agents make sustainability on and off the pitch, a very tough balance to achieve and there's also the issue of sustainability for DC himself. As you rightly point out, saving our club has come at significant cost to the Clowes family already and I think the best reward for DC's good faith would be a like-minded investor to share the financial burden and help foot the cost of developing the playing roster. Trying to find a silver lining, I do think we are a deal more investable than at any time in a long while now, so there may be some small chink of light not too far ahead.
  10. I can't say I'm THAT confident either to be honest, it just seems a very plausible outcome. Also one that allows additional funding in other areas using the cash saved on another expensive striker option. That said, and forgive me if I'm wrong, I don't think Warne has said anything about his plans for Dajaune next season as yet. I doubt even he knows yet. Pre-season is the best and most informative means to evaluate whether a young 'un is ready to step up and there'll surely be no pre-destined development path until they've had an opportunity to assess his progress first-hand. Taking a positive spin, we shall be seeing a very different DCFC side taking the pitch in pre-season, after our first restriction free window in years. Seeing with our own eyes whether DB of any other young 'un shines is only one of the many prospects to savour.
  11. Still got 2 years left on his contract, so a tad concerned as he would be fiercely expensive given he played 41 games this season. Seems a lot to fork out on a single player unless Clowes already has investment lined up, but it's an interesting one for sure. Damned if they do, damned if they don't. I'm not sure saying that aiming to be competitive at least is particularly revealing anyway. I take your point about expectations and angst, but that's for the individual fans to address, not the club. To be fair, I feel like I'm preaching to the choir on this particular issue anyway! Sadly common sense is often overridden by 'the right to whine'. Folk were moaning on here the first window after admin, after all, that's how 'reasonable' expectations can be with some of our lot 🤑

    Krystian Bielik

That'd be because you are watching a different game Angie and not in a good way. Sadly, for a club with ambitions on the top flight, the higher up the ladder, the less 'real' it all feels.
  13. He won't want to be going to play for Newcastle's U21 team when he'll likely be in or around the 1st team at Derby. Highly unlikely at least, thankfully. Good to hear that he's so highly rated though. Contract extension the order of the day, I reckon.
  14. That would seem a fairly safe assumption given they're only asking 500k 🤔 £300-£375k with add-ons and we move to the next target.
  15. The next game versus Chelsea was a banger too. I know we lost 3-2, but we did score 4 of the 5 goals on the night and we gave them a right good game. Fikayo's effort was probably also the best taken own goal I've ever seen 🤣
  16. Absolute devastation, you say? Blimey! FTLIW, at the prices quoted, it's an easy 'Yes' from me. Probably the easiest shout in a decade for this club.
  17. Well done @leroyoftherovers and many thanks as always to @mozza for the time and effort put it each year.
  18. Doh! Yeah, I did! I'm sure DC would love an extra £15 mill in his rocket! 😵‍💫
  19. Won't there be around £15 million extra in season ticket sales too, with the average ticket having gone up around £70? You'd think they'd likely shift a few more this season than last too.
  20. How very convenient. Also absolute nonsense, I'm afraid, but I guess you're being shut down again now, by your own rather singular metrics, so I'll leave you to try to convince others instead.
  21. Odd that you show no such empathy for those who were roundly mocked for supporting Warne though. The idiots, the deluded, the blind faithers, the happy clappers, the clueless, Warne fanbois, et al, ad nauseum. You've made dozens of posts supporting those who wanted Warne out, yet not a single one I can recall for those who felt that stance to be shortsighted. The fact is, suggesting this was entirely a one-way interaction isn't the action of an 'adult' either and is just a derisive and divisive as those comments you'd see sanctioned.
  22. I really liked these two shows: https://tv.apple.com/gb/show/kingdom/umc.cmc.5yb8vijqunqakmk8o2i0ublro https://tv.apple.com/gb/episode/part-one/umc.cmc.1psy8vr48u0x76zzgnb2f86u5?action=playSmartEpisode
  23. Would be a blinding signing, but I can't help feeling the most likely outcome is him staying at Celtic next season. That said, if Warne could genetically engineer a player, this lad wouldn't be too far off. He looks huge, for a start. Google says 6' 2", but I think he must still be growing! He looks a specimen too and seriously strong. Watching him brush players off the ball, it looked like a dad had sneaked onto the pitch at a kid's game. He looks absolutely rapid too, if not instant pace, it's not far off and he's a huge stride on him and positively eats up the ground once in full flight. It seems he can tackle, pass and shoot, knows how to link play and seems to read the game well too. His video actually reminds me a little of George Thorne, which I mean as a big compliment. Some definite interest from me then, but based on what I concede is flimsy evidence. Irrespective, I'd like to think we'd want to have a good look at him, at very least, if transpires that he is going to be available.
  24. Feels like a vintage crop to me. Like the Rossi - Marquez era back in the day, only with more players. Great shouts anyways chaps. Properly rekindled my love of the sport, so thanks for that🙏
  25. Wish we could bin 'em all off and have Blackpool instead 😋
