I moved from the back of the SE corner, just a dividing net from the away fans, to the NE corner, when I started dragging my then 7 year old grandson screaming and kicking to see his grandads beloved Rams! (Free u12 ST!) No way was that SE corner appropriate for him, although I was still up for it. The NE corner was staid, almost serene, and not at all what I was used to! It took a good few seasons before I accepted my fate! #ididitforhim. 11 years later... still in the same NE Corner seat (18yo Grandson has totally lost interest), but it's no longer staid, nor serene... it's just nice! Comfy. Like a pair of old slippers. We should all have the choice... and the right... to be comfortable with where we sit.

I still give the same hand gestures towards the away fans as I did back in the late '70's... but nowadays that's usually down to arthritis and the occasional bout of pins and needles.

Oh, but of course. I don't dispute that... just that it's not worthy even, of it's own section on the beeb, and seemingly therefore more "tin pot" than those other competitions I listed. Edit to add: A similar scenario on Sky Sports too, it seems, although they only list ten domestic competitions.

If anyone is under any doubt as to just how massive this particular cup competition is, I've just noted that if you go Beeb > Sport > Football > League and cups... It lists 18 league and cup competitions under the UK & Ireland banner. Yep... EIGHTEEN! The list includes "Welsh Football", "Irish Football", "Women's Football" and "The National League", amongst others. My God, it even includes the Scottish Challenge Cup (Not to be confused with "The Scottish Cup" and/or "The Scottish League Cup"). But nowhere is there a link to the EFL Trophy! *Although we do get a mention in this weeks list of upcoming fixtures. 🙄 #the tin pot pot #See you all at Wembley though, obvs 👀 EDIT: Just realised... It's a link to "Leagues and Cups". I suppose the technicality get out clause is that this is a "Trophy", not a "Cup"! 🤣

Slightly off at a tangent, but pertinent to your post... As a season ticket holder, I have in the past... and on a number of occasions... swapped my ST seat for another, along with a number of adjacent available seats, for that very purpose (There are no spare seats around where my ST is located). I've done this on a number of Boxing Days, and the odd "glory game"! I've even managed a batch of 8 seats together for a Forest match (4 seats in front of another 4... better than a row of 8!) *1 Admittedly, none of the above is based on "spur of the moment", as I had to get in there early for the bigger groups. *2 Admittedly, I'm a local, so it was easy to do at the ticket office. No idea how much faff it would be to do it online (or even if it was doable)? *3 Admittedly, not all long term ST holders are happy to move out of their comfort zone and swap seats, or even stands... even for those we hold near and dear! 👀 *4 Admittedly, that big batch of 8 adjacent seats were in the North Stand... but they were fairly central behind the goal, upper tier (my preference), and we won 5-0, so what's not to like! 🤣🐏
