  1. I seem to recall me being somewhat excited and highly delighted at his appointment. Ha! Shows what I know! 🙄
  2. Away Win 4 - 5 Cashin frgs to bring it back to 4-1 with 15 mins to go... (Obviously, the forum would have melted prior to that point, so many won't be aware until Monday morning!)
  3. Don't bank on it mate. More like another couple of dozen new threads! 🙄
  4. Must say, I'm very impressed with the swear filter thingy on that radio mic. I wonder what word the commo actually used, for it to come out live on air as "Bamford"! #cleverstuff
  5. Not wishing to appear rude, insensitive, or even ungrateful, @loweman2, but any chance you can re-do those ties? From what evidence I can find,(Your own pics, Google images, videos etc) it appears both Brian and Peter... and myself, for that matter... much prefer the clean lines and symmetry of a Windsor knot. (The C&T statue get a thumbs up on the score, btw). 👍 I'd like to think Peter would approve... and I'm as certain as hell that the mannequins would! 🍻🐏
  6. Crikey! I never got that from Jet2!
  7. In an athletics stadium? ... And be renamed "The Olympics"? 👀
  8. Of course, I was jesting... and of course, I'd snap my own hand off for second place! 🐏 ... And I hear you, play off wise... 🍻 Must admit, my play-off heart ache doesn't compare remotely, to what most on here have suffered. Usually due to being away on holiday at those times, and in the case of the Leicester game, I'd become a tad "unaffected" by the club at that time, due to "Young family commitments". Listened on the hire-car radio on the way back from a weekend away, lost, switched it off. Carried on. A lucky escape, in hindsight! Obviously, The QPR game affected me more, but again, nothing like the true heartache for those that were there. Due to a c*** up on my part (Assuming we always played these on the BH Monday), we landed back at EMA at 13:55 on the Saturday... Home by 14:55... telly on... EVERYTHING in our favour... Zamora... sigh... telly off... Saturday night, innit. Again, a somewhat lucky escape from the real heartache down in Smoke City! The WBA win was celebrated with a traditional Majorcan Madras (Of course there is!), beers-a-plenty, and more than one tear of utter jealousy running down my cheek. That was worse for me personally... missing out on the true joy of being there! And I blame Billy for that, as at the time of booking my hols (Jan '07), we were odds-on and perfectly placed for the auto's. Absolutely no need for me to consider the play off dates at that stage! We'll already be up, before my flight! The short arsed bamford! 🤬 My one and only live PO game (to date) was the last one v Villa. I certainly felt disappointment, and had that "anti-climax vibe", but whilst I had a fantastic weekend down there overall, the whole game experience was just so very meh! The starting line up. Being outsung for 90 mins by the oppo fans, (Didn't help being near the halfway line... villa fans two blocks to the left) and the complete lack of "We can do this" vibe that seemed to be the theme of the day! All so very meh! ... But I'd take a PO spot as it stands. And I'd brave it again if we got there... but yes, I'd much rather we miss out, and take an auto spot. Second would be absolute heaven, in all seriousness! 🐏
  9. Remind me... What was my stake again? 👀
  10. I'm not sure I get all this top two talk! OK, finishing top, yeah... of course. A trophy for a start. No post-league nerves and drama. Chance to dance in the street, and swing a very large pair of testicles around. I get that. Or even the drama, excitement, and extra dosh for the Play-Offs,,, with the 25% chance of the best way to gain promotion, via a day out (or weekend) in the metropolis. And still, another way to get your hands on a real live trophy. Again, I get that. But second place? Really? Who the heck get's remembered for that? No trophy! No street party! No testicles! Just your name on a list. Ooh no thank you very much! 👀
  11. They could perhaps start relating complaints to seat numbers to purchasing ID's? Yeah... I know... not particular practical, given most aren't in the correct seats! How about DCFC security infiltrators going in under cover, and taking notes (and pics, if that's allowed these days?). Perhaps all fans can be advised to keep hold of their tickets until after the game, thus enabling a DCFC official to approach and ID any "culprits"? A club ban (On purchasing tickets)... temporary or otherwise... for consistent/repeat "offenders"? No retained ticket? Tough... out you go! It's all very grim, but DCFC have to realise... if they care... that making and adhering to some rules that might just pizz off those that don't follow rules would be preferable than upsetting those that are prepared to abide by them. Those that don't like the rules can do one. It doesn't appear that they are much welcomed anyway. C'mon Derby... This topic gets repeated every bloody season. Let's see you at least trying to come up with a solution. Some elderly/disabled fans are consistently pizzed off at away matches... but are too "Derby Loyal" to complain officially to the club. Time to show them some respect. You KNOW it's happening!
  12. Well, it was backed up by his next post (As someone else deemed it wise to question it before I did, and requested clarification on whether it was serious or not!). There was absolutely no sign of emojis to counter the seriousness, or hint at any attempt at wit/irony etc... in either the original post or the follow up. Couple that with some of the absolute and utter OTT "End of the world is nigh" dross that's been oft-spouted over recent weeks on here (Not specifically by this individual poster, I grant you), just how am I meant to take it? 🤷‍♂️ Are you insinuating he/she was joking, or merely using hyperbole? Perhaps the poster in question could clarify... again? 🤷‍♂️ ... Or perhaps not, as it's only the internet, and you commenting on my post is literally no different to me commenting in his/hers. Have you considered I may not have been totally serious in my post? Well... Have yer?
  13. So... 3 x stonewall penalty claims go unawarded. Two goals scored each get "Dodgy Off-side" decisions, and as for those two straight reds we got for duck all... Still, despite a 0-0 draw, playing the final 38 mins with 9 men, the gaffer must resign out of pure embarrassment. Okee-dokee
  14. Looks like he's done the decent thing too, if the quote from the new owner has any bearing...
  15. So obvious... now you mention it! Not something I knew or realised... but I like it. I too may well share that with anyone who is daft enough to listen to me! Cheers! 🍻🐏👍
  16. As romantic and beautiful a thought that may be, I'd respectfully offer my disagreement. And besides... start going down that route, and how many other clubs (fans) will soon feel disrespected, when one of their "greats" pass away? Will we need to start marking the passing of every former player from every club? I mean no disrespect, but I see Franny as a legend at Man City, DCFC, and at a push, Bolton too. I'm sure there are football fans countrywide that have fond memories of Franny, but wouldn't see him as a true football legend. (I'm thinking Best, Finney, Matthews etc). Only my opinion, and regardless as how that's perceived by others, there was never any intention to be disrespectful, be that to fans of other clubs, our club, or of course, Francis Lee CBE. 🐏
  17. My comment wasn't made with any regards as to how respectful (or not) the Blackpool fans would be. I'm aware of our recent romance with them, and no sleight on their rep was intended... or even considered. My comment was based on just a few thousand travelling Rams fans... as wonderful, dedicated, and deserving they may be... getting the opportunity to offer their goodbyes and thanks to the great man, as opposed to our own stadium, with nigh on 30,000 Rams fans to wave him off. My comment being unfair to our travelling fans (last night) may be argued, (and I'll take that on the chin, if that be the case), but the Blackpool fans didn't even register in my thoughts, if I'm honest.
  18. All japes aside. Hope your feeling better sooner rather than later. 👍
  19. The stick is no surprise. Seeing you on your feet is! 😁
  20. #notthatnew,tobefair.Itwasallhisfaultwefailedlastseason! 👀
  21. The away end at Blackpool was is not the place for this. Far better to wait... and I seriously doubt anyone in authority at the club needs any sort of nudge to make this happen. Maybe not perfect timing, but a near full Pride Park Stadium is most certainly the perfect setting.
