Another positive from yesterday... I managed to get all the skirting board off, plus that bit of boxing-in around the rad pipes, so I'm all ready for the damp-proof guys coming on Thursday to smash my living room walls to smithereens. "A dream day out" should be a meet & greet with Rammie and his better half/sister/secretary/pretty young niece(🤷‍♂️), and maybe a tour of the facilities, before retiring for pre-match juice and microwave pizza in the community hub. Gone should be the days of including them to dither about trying to retrieve a ball for a professional sporting club with ambitions of conquering the world (or evening Middle England, for that matter!) There's plenty of other opportunities to entrap the poor little mites into the grasp of DCFC.

Gotta say, Young Arthur looks the business in that pic. Very much an air of "'80's PE Teacher" about him, I reckon. What do others think?

Massive positive for me... Oldish bloke sat immediately behind me for years, season after season, game after game... up until covid/shutdown. Always used to natter, and share a pre-kick off handshake. (He also saw Muckerette as a lucky mascot, as she had a good run of results when she attended.) No sign of him on our return to the games post covid, or since, and it goes without saying, "I feared the worst". ... until yesterday, when he came almost bounding up the stairs, looking fit and well, strong enough for a quick handshake, a smiley exchange of "Good to see you buddy", and continuing his trek higher up towards the back. No idea whether this was a one off, or whether he's continued with his ST. Now, I appreciate he could have spent post-covid deliberately avoiding me. Maybe used that as a perfect excuse for changing ST seats. Who knows... and who cares. The f***** is alive and well, and seeing him, even for 7 seconds, left me feeling a little warm and fuzzy inside. The game didn't spoil my mood, as I'm a massive fan of trying to keep events in perspective! 😁🍻🐏

I'm with @ramtique on this. It's simply not as enjoyable as it has been. It's not as entertaining as it could be. Jipes, it could even be argued it's not as entertaining as it SHOULD be (But that's a separate discussion). Like @ramtique, I too suspect there are others (20k+, quite likely, but I appreciate I could be open to argument there!) I'm not threatening to down STs and stay away (Although it does occasionally cross my mind!). I'm certainly not affected enough to be concerned about my day to day mental well being. I don't enjoy seaside do-nuts as much as I did 40 years ago, but they're still bloody tempting when you're within touching distance of the seaside. Same with Kylie in gold hotpants. It just doesn't have that same effect any more... but I ain't gonna click away if it unintentionally pops up on my YouTube suggestions! 👀 Hey, @Tyler Durden, why not not try to focus on what folk are actually posting, rather than exaggerating their words and opinions to a polar extreme?
