  2. Don’t think any of the subs strengthened us. Waghorn used to be a good, aggressive player but now he’s just an aggressive player. He commits fouls hoping not to be seen despite the fact they are about as inconspicuous as a tiger in a nunnery.
  3. We’re all on here moaning about a point at Wycombe. We are still second in the league. What would B4 be saying right now? My guess is come on guys, let’s get behind the team on Saturday and get Pride Park rocking. Portsmouth will beat Bolton and we’ll be four points ahead again.
  4. Not sure how adding Bradley helps in any logical way. Our problems are in attack. We have a selection of forwards who either aren’t fully fit or otherwise just aren’t good enough. Smith and Adams battled manfully in midfield but they desperately need a third player they can rely upon. Ward provided that briefly. Bird’s return would help massively. We have the version of James Collins who runs around a lot without being creative and Washington who gets behind defences and then….nothing. NML looks cursed. I have never seen a player kick the ball into touch as often. We know CBT can be good, but does he? What surprised me last night was our willingness to pump the ball in the air again, letting Wildsmith take long free kicks when creativity was needed. I hope that they will practice in training the slick first time passing which can produce the three wins we need.
  5. What has happened to NML? He looks like a man who has forgotten how to play football. He needs a rest I think. He has been the driving force in our season but when he’s out of form we create little.
  6. Pretty disappointing half really. Sloppy in both attack and defence. Need to sharpen up!
  7. I think he’s in the loopy keeper category. I used to love the way he came out of his goal to catch crosses but now he’s more likely to punch them. We have his many mysterious injuries that leave him on the floor before a miraculous recovery. And finally the crazy moments. I’m not sure, however, that Vickers is better. I think from a technical standpoint Wildsmith definitely has the edge. Let’s just hope he can hold it together mentally between now and the end of the season.
  8. But are you disgruntled? 😊
  9. Just watched the last ever episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm. I am grieving the loss already! Off the wall humour which reminds us of our very worst foibles is a great skill. I hope LD starts a new project soon.
  10. If you ate your crusts you would get hairs on your chest. I know women who still won’t eat crusts based on that saying!
  11. Aasgaard at Wigan would be a top addition. Young, mobile and still improving.
  12. Would be nice to get updates on the progress of the appeal. Even PW likes flags 😊
  13. Bit harsh for someone with 6 goals and 7 assists. At his age and fitness level he’s an impact sub now. Definitely struggled in a two man midfield. Arguably better on the left side of a four. Not part of our future so best left as a bit part player.
  14. A treat for fans of heavy breathing…. or cones. Better make sure Leeds aren’t watching. I’ve heard Pep has sent scouts too.
  15. They have the same sign outside the City Ground
  16. She’s going to sponsor the first 45 minutes of each home game. They’re calling it a Swift half.
  17. Agree entirely. Also feel it’s important to acknowledge any exercise you’ve done, whether or not it has gone well. It’s easy to be very self critical after a slow run or a short run, or a ‘lazy’ session in the gym, but sometimes we are looking after ourselves or not in the best shape at that particular moment. Better times will come. At nearly sixty, each run seems harder and everything hurts, but there’s no better coffee than the one I have when I get back 😊
