Getting people to fear covid to the level they do was genius, getting people to fear those that don’t feel that level of fear is a master stroke
Im still yet to see a fit and healthly person under the age of 60 thats died, sorry but its true.
Covid isnt anywhere close to as bad as the whole world would have you believe, and if its not as bad as they are making out you want to ask yourself who is winning in all of this misery!!

Vaccine isnt very good then.
3 people have had it in my house
only 1 has had 1 vaccine nobody had any issues other than the mental health aspect of being cooped up in a room for 1.5 weeks

nobody would be saying this if we went up

Just to add BAD debt is a part of any business whether your bob the window cleaner, msd a local supplier or even the almighty HMRC.
Its factored into decisions and sometimes insured against.
Everyone can sit on there high horse and say this and that, but none of us know the true finances and what should be done or how a football club is actually financed and ran day to day.

But still the same result.
hardly phillip green is sat on billions in monaco,
mel will be licking his wounds, and wishing he could of done better!!!
in 10 years time we will all have the guilty wish of how he tried his best and it ultimately failed..
nobody can doubt he is a fan and he wont want to be remembered for this

wouldnt be surprised if this was MSD
They have had time to set up and orchastrate what they want??
-
could the argument of the £80m value be used if he sold it back to the new owner for £40
surely if the main tenant is in administration the asset value reduces??

Lehman Brothers was an institution with a long history that went bust because the toxic assets outstripped the attractiveness of the proposition to saving them at the time. If Derby's debt is sufficiently large and the assets are sufficiently small to put off buyers then our desire to save the club will not save it.
my point exactly
and IF lehman brothers were a football club do you think it would still exist once that debt is gone..............
and of course it will
if its liquidated somebody will buy the brand, renegoite PP/Moor farm and there good to rebuild knowing there is a baseline revenue from at least 15,000 hard core fans....
league 1 avg attendance according to google is 11,300, championship is 16,500.
yes its not ideal but somebody will be getting a bargain once this is all said and done.................the cost of that is yet to be determined and its a massive mark/stain in the history, but its only a chapter not the end of the book!!!!
-
if it is liquidated what does everyone think happens to a ready made empty football club/training ground, that infrastruture doesnt disappear.]
somebody comes along and gets an absolute steal,
worst case scenario is MSD have to sell that stadium to someone to cover the debt, its worth nothing sat empty and nothing for the 3 years it would take to redevelop.
DCFC will still exist in some capacity in 3 /6 months and 60 more years, It will not dissappear the best everyone can do is show support and be positive

and Lehmann Brothers was too big to go bust until that's exactly what they did.... I'm not saying or thinking liquidation is inevitable but you can't possibly give a cast iron guarantee against it either.
totally different set of terms, and not the right comparison
if lehman brothers revenue was derived from a loyal fanbase which has displayed its loyalty year on year and is 99% guaranteed then they would of survived!!!
yes everyone feels poo but its not the end of the world
-
Derby as a club wont cease to exist at all, however the outcome or future there will still be a presence. The infratstructure and potential is too big for it to just stop,
yes its a poo situation BUT come on FFS all this negativity etc etc.
how I see it we either own the stadium or are due the money from it, its worthless as anything other than a football stadium.
in a months time it will be better and we can start to see what the future holds but its not the end!!!

I don't know how much we paid our accountants at Derby, but I reckon 4 of us with GCE maths, a pocket calculator and an ounce of common sense could have done it twice as well.
accountants are only as good as the client just for reference

3 helicopters flew over Uttoxeter in formation earlier heading in the direction of Derby.
Could have been a consortium of Bamford, and them Bamfords from Stoke!
the irony of an even richer local businessman coming in that could genuinely afford to compete in the prem would be funny!!!
dont know if I would like that yellow on kits though haha -
any ideas on when the list of creditors will be released
be interested to see if any local businesses are losing out?
Officecare and maybe talbot turf come to mind, hope it doesnt affect them too much

theory yes, but practically no chance unless uncle Mel gives it away
surely you could use the rent as coverage on a mortgage
if it was interest only?
£50m @5% is £2.5m a year
could even have any profit made go into support the community trust or club
people soon forget mel isnt even derbys richest man let alone the many families that are fans and worth £££s Millions
-
it would mean whoever wanted the club as a vanity project could take it on, and the most important stakeholders of the club ultimately maintain a foundation???
-
could a fans trust buy the stadium, thus resulting in us fans being a permanent stakeholder in the business and ultimately securing the future of a club???
-
whats the dimensions and costs of the bigflag,
does my head in how it stays over my head for a few extra minutres if the tv crew are in town,
