StaffsRam
As far as I'm concerned, the more cycling the better! If anyone's looking for sports that should be reviewed - Basketball. Seriously, who other than the US, is going to win this? Just about the most nailed-on Gold medal of the entire games. Can we have dominoes in next time? -JW-
Watching the hockey, been a cracking semi so far, shame about the game though. StaffsRam
Most of this is quite amusing; However, the Dingo bit was too much.
StaffsRam
Thank God for Mo, Jess and Greg! Other than Ohuruogu and Grabarz, the rest of our Track & Fielders have been a distinct disappointment after Super Saturday. GboroRam
A new medical condition has been recognised - olympic thumb. Caused by continually scrolling down to find the Aussie results.
GboroRam
I would like to state that earlier I rubbished the olympics and Seb coe as being an extravagance that this country neither needed or could afford, and that I wouldnt be watching. I have been glued to the tv waching it.It has been fantastic, especially the cycling.Ive thoroughly enjoyed it and the only time I havent supported Team GB is in the football....and phillips idowu And it's only made the sweeter by the amount of bellyaching from the Frogs, who can't understand that we're just better than they are. For those offended by the racially stereotyping use of the word Frogs, I do of course mean cheese eating surrender monkeys.
Alph
GB 1-2 Argentina. Hockey.... Another sport that's better ran and has better professionals than football. Unlucky ladies.

Alph
Still does Wimbledon too. Ah, Should do the football again. Motson seems to lose the plot half the time and that Johnathon Pearce....... well.
StaffsRam
Pearce used to be alright on the radio, but I can't get used to him on the telly - he sounds like he should be commentating on games on Five instead of the Beeb.
StaffsRam
Feel a bit sorry for US viewers - they're not getting events live, NBC are holding the broadcasts to air in their primetime. Best comment I've seen re this; We get pictures from Curiosity faster than we get news of Olympic events on NBC..... -JW-
They didnt show the 100metres live and i know there was a lot of commotion from the yanks about that.
StaffsRam
I remember when I was a nipper, part of the fun of the Olympics was staying up through the night when it was in some far-flung corner of the globe (Seoul, Sydney). To not be able to see the 100m live, well, shocking really.
StaffsRam
'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> All this boo-hooing from the French over our domination of the Velodrome, puts a different spin on Pendleton's relegation in the first heat of her final against Meares yesterday. The c**t responsible for the relegation? French.
MuespachRam
The magic wheels they are accusing us of having....ironically, are made by a French company..! Bad losers.
StaffsRam
I think the stuff with the wheels is a psychological ploy on our part - there's absolutely nothing special going on with the wheels I'm sure, but the French in particular now seem convinced that we have 'magic' wheels that are somehow unbeatable. Bauge looked like a beaten man all the way through that final against Kenny.
bcnram
Not so much a 'psychological ploy' more a joke that L'Equipe took seriously. Dave Brailsford told French reporters that we were using special 'round wheels'. In fact it is simply having the right training, preparation and peaking at the right time.
