OoooMarkWright
Knowing a few Peterborough fans as I do I can tell you now that Boyd had a very poor season. He failed at Forest - no chance Derby will be interested especially at that price.
Duracell
My biggest problem is that he isn't a goal scorer, which is our priority in the summer. Unless he's thinking of putting him on the wing to create chances, but then we create plenty of chances to win matches. Just doesn't add up in my mind, spending a million pounds on a problem we don't have! 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' /> We were creating chances in the final few weeks but remember at points we were really struggling to make chances (although that coincided with Davies and Theo being out injured and having that waste of space Prisking up front). We really need some decent wide players who aren't Jamie Ward - who won't be fit all season - to ensure we have a decent midfield four. Last season was satisfactory, yes, but aren't we after more than that? Boyd may not be the answer to our issues but we're a better team than Peterborough. He'd look a lot better with our players. uttoxram75
My source said that Boyd would never sign for us ever, unless he got a good hair products sponsorship. Glick said "why should we? Clough said "because he's worth it" great post.............head and shoulders above the rest in this thread...................

DCFC4_LIFE
I'd like us to sign him for some quality through the midfield but it's a prelific striker we really need. Although i don't think we will sign him, i reckon he'll go to middlesborough.
p.shilton
Not too fussed with Boyd to be honest. He isn't that great when he is on his game, and unfortunately that doesn't seem to be very often anyway
RotherhamRam
If we got Boyd think you would see a 4132 formation returning that worked at the beginning of the season The defence would be Brayford Shackell O'Brien and Roberts The holding midfielder would be Hendrick The three attacking midfielders would be Bryson, Boyd and Ward The attackers would be rotated between Davies, Robinson and Tyson with I hope Davies and Robinson being first choice depending on how Tyson does in pre-season. If he gets off to a good start and keeps fit could see him start in front of Robinson as he can deliver a ball into the box but that is a big IF at present

blackNwhites
Boyd impressed me a few seasons back. Think it was the season they got relegated actually. Maybe he's just grown stale at Peterborough and needs a change. Derby would benefit having him in the squad I reckon, but he's an expensive squad player. Neo
George Boyd isnt a striker, he's a winger/in the hole type player. He's a good player i think and the type of player we need. A million is a fair price, go get him Nige. On the point Shilton makes, i presume talking about Taylor, it's not all about goals, his general play is probably far better than Robinsons. He is and that is why we wont pay the price he would command

Neo
He isn't worth it This is the thing about football such vast opinions i think he is and would be a good signing 2002–2007 [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stevenage_F.C.]Stevenage Borough 109 (23) 2007– [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peterborough_United_F.C.]Peterborough United 232 (58) 2010 → [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nottingham_Forest_F.C.]Nottingham Forest (loan) 6 (1) That is a better record than any other winger we got.
