Cardifframs
Lee Cook from QPR. Just returned from injury, and QPR want him out on loan. Very good player, and replacement for Commons.

Too much of a winger, wouldn't suit the formation i'm afraid.

Check the change of formation thread in Rams Talk, it would seem we could be going back to a 4-4-2 as Nigel is talking about playing 2 strikers. Alex W
But nowhere does he mention wingers and if he were going to use them I doubt Martin would have been let go. I reckon he's going to go 4-1-3-2 at home and 4-2-3-1 away from now on.

I agree with Alex. Clough only said we were going with 2 up front, not we are changing the system. 4-2-3-1 away, 4-1-3-2 at home.

I just don't see us going back to using wingers, as who do we play there now if we do? We've got no-one. I think it'll be the same formation as usual with one less DM and one more striker. NothernRam
Croft? Pearson? Pearson is absolutely useless in the middle so use him on the wing.

Alex W
Croft? Pearson? Pearson is absolutely useless in the middle so use him on the wing. True, but he can't last a full match while he's half injured and was beginning to look decent in the attacking three. Besides which, I don't think we're going to use wingers. So nerrrrrrr
Alex W
Ben Davies is a wide man is he not? He's a utility midfield player, plays anywhere. But he plays on the wing often, yes. But Nigel has said he'll be used as some sort of replacement for Commons.
Day
I'm sure we'll all find out tomorrow around 7pm, my money would be on a return to basics and 4-4-2.
AlfretonRam
4-4-2 has been long overdue. One of Nigel's main problems this season has been not admitting defeat earlier. Why play a formation that you clearly dont have the players to play in those positions.

Fills me with excitement.
WorksopRam
I don't think 4-2-3-1 was based around Commons. The formation can and should continue now he's gone.
