Not sure why you found it funny. I fell a little sorry for the bloke. He was merely having a bit of banter and was punished for doing so. What exactly do the authorities want? Fans that sit down quietly and clap for the goals and groan when a move breaks down?

I hope he gets the apology he deserves.

I did smile at one reply....."Lucky you, I wish I'd been kicked out".

Seriously, its pathetic. The club will defend it by saying they have a duty to make fans sit down, blah, blah.

Happens every home match in the SE, good job more people join in than in the A block.

what worries me is 'the dude' on that thread with a KKK avatar....... Not wishing to assume what went on but I can see why the steward got narked. South East corner do it dontcha, - as soon as they all sit down, someone starts 'stand up if you hate forest'. The funny bit is the lad obviouslythinks it's because of the actual song, instead of the standin up bit. Doh.

I don't understand the unkind comments for the poster of this article though.

I think football fans should be uniting against this sort of thing. Like a few others I'm not sure on the 'I didn't know he was getting people to sit down' story but every week there are numerous occasions that fans are removed from the ground for next to nothing.

The other week where I sit 2 stewards came up and told a fan he had to move one seat along because he was in the wrong seat, despite the fact that there was nobody else sitting around him, this came just a few days after coming up to tell someone off for taking pictures with a camera.

Some stewards really are just on a power trip and need putting in their places.

It could be that he genuinly didn't notice the steward trying to get people to sit down and the steward has got narked in a how dare you not notice me kind of way. Some stewards like to think they're God Almighty and some see fit to talk to fans like they're something unpleasant on their shoe - but God help the fan who dares to speak up in his own defence.

I know they've got a job to do but they can go a bit far sometimes. A quick chat to establish wether or not it was a genuine misunderstanding and a watchful eye from the steward would have done on this occasion me thinks.

The picture has a British flag in it from what it looks like, I didn't realize the KKK was a thing across the pond? 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huh' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I don't think it is actually anything to do with the KKK mate- we don't have that over here. Besides, that kind of thing would not be tolerated as an avatar either.

Back to the thread- I don't feel sorry for the guy, I am sure that there is more to this than he is letting on and he's only a Forest fan anyway. The fact that he is not going to bother ringing that safety officer says that he is not going to try and clear his name (admission of guilt?)/ complain about the steward and that he isn't that fussed about watching the team he "supports" either.

I guess they are just employees working to instructions from their management.

Had a couple of small chuckles, but really, this is ridiculas!

There could be alot more to it or maybe a history with the two guys that got removed, dunno?

In any case, this type of thing will always occur every now and then - look at blackpool away this season, didn't quite a few Derby fans got refused entry for being D&D? And I think even the flag guy wasn't allowed in.

what were you doing to get that then 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

I'm kinda dissapointed with the stewarding on this one, i think he should at least cautioned him, not barreed him. I think that the steward may have been getting off on power tbh...

Sorry, just wanted you to notice this post lol,

Over in the US you have People legging it onto Baseball games and various other sports events and i'm pretty sure they dont get banned. Its a bit of fun over there..

The stewards are here to keep us safe. but this bloke wasnt doing anything wrong, just having a chant, i swear and shout all the time, damn at Barnsley i nearly lost my voice, I always keep an eye for Kids etc if they dont want to hear it then i dont do it, if someone doesnt like it, then i'll stop.. and i think this should have been used here, the Steward should have just said to the dude, "Look you're bothering/getting in the way of people, please sit down, i dont want to speak to you again". and that woulda been it, if he'd broken the rule again eject him.. This just angers me, its a misuse of power

END RANT
