StephenDCFC
I think we should just stick it out for now, its going good atm, maguire played well, and robinson runs his socks off 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' /> But we need a proven scorer soon though
PistoldPete
Am I the only one wondering why we STILL haven't got another striker on loan yet? Nigel is obviously struggling with his threadbare squad. Tyson & S.Davies are injured which only leaves us with Ward, Maguire, Cywka, Robinson, Bennett, Doyle & Ball as options up front. We have the 19th worst record in the Championship for goals scored this season [20 in 14 games] so clearly the current players aren't up to much. Are you listening Glick??? Pull your finger out!!! Oh, and whilst you are reading this, my mate Ian has a gripe about ticket prices. 20 goals in 14 games dont sound to bad to me ; on target for 60 odd goals at the end of season. Next couple of games could be interesting Cardiff and peterboro score a lot but concede a lot too. But yeah if we had a 20 goals a season striker we would defo get into playoffs I think. sage
We won't get a loan in now, with a fortnights break looming. If we bring someone in, it will be just before the Hull game, or the one after that.
mwram1973
could be worse Could be a Leicester supporter Millions on strikers and still ****!!!!! lol
Luke
Alan Sheehan @ Notts County is the business...young,great left foot, can deliver a cracking cross or free-kick & can defend aswell...he has that missing ingredient..pace.Get him in next transfer window. Bit of a journeyman for someone who is only 25, cant be great if he was released by Swindon
DcFc Dyycheee
Theo and Maguire looked outstanding against Pompey, i don't see why we would need this striker in for the time being, but then again, i think it said somewhere that Theo's out for Cardiff? But if we can just scrape the win against Cardiff then allot of the players injured now, should be fit by the next game. SHOULD.

trekkie_ram
I don't like the term WUM, but surely 90% of people could tell from the tone of my original post that I was making the opposite point to what it literally said. As has been pointed out, 19th worst = 5th best (joint in both positions for any math whizz who takes an issue with that). If anything Nigel has a headache of too many strikers, wtf would we need another? And I thought the mention of ianm would categorically inform people that I'm taking the piss. p.shilton
I think it was duly noted a long time ago mate- unfortunately a reasoned debate seems to have broken out despite your intention!
Asanovic
We're 5th We're playing some good football We've beaten two of the three relegated teams We beat our arch rivals 2-1 after playing 90 minutes with ten men There's always room for improvement, but I think that means we have a good squad. A left back is the only real problem position for which we need cover - I think any other addition is a nice to have.
rsmini
can I be controversial and ask why we need a proven goalscorer? We score 3 on saturday and could have score many more.... or have I just answered my own question 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

RotherhamRam
In this thread the orignal quote said we are 19th for goals scored. This is actuall incorrect if you look at the league table as of Tuesday 8pm for tonights games you will see there are 17 teams who have scored less than us and one who has scored the same number as us (blackpool). This therefore places us joint 7th in the scoring league, further to this you will note Middlesborough and Crystal palce above us having scored fewer goals in 3rd and 4th along with Hull who have scored only 13 goals in 6th. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/tables/_/league/eng.2/english-league-championship?cc=5739 Love it when facts are quoted and not checked with the league table itself. Now in respect of tables wonder if there is one which shows number of 1st team players out/numbers of goals/points/win average : injuries etc. Now that would be interesting as that would indicate further the quality of our squad. Yes there are no big names and apart from Leicester (like QPR last yr and Scunny) we never looked like being over-run by teams and this squad has battle. Maybe this will answer that question.
