Theo Robinson on Twitter

i personally am not a massive fan of theo and am not convinced that he should be starting, however he always tries and for that alone he does not even remotely deserve the abuse he is getting from ****** using twitter as an open abuse site. He seems like a nice lad and not arrogant which many are when they are in his position. People who abuse footballers via twitter need to get a life and realise how hurtful those words can be despite them only being typed behind a keyboard, they also need some real human interaction.

Theo is one of the young lads who were brought in to develop and be used sparingly. Not his fault at all that the first choice has so far shown up for what 15 minutes?

He's probably ahead of where Nigel expected him to be and given he's keeping plugging away in the face of quite warranted hostility is commendable in my view. And i want him to stay and develop as far as possible (quite how far that may be is quite a wide range judging by the better informed debate).

People dishing it out on Twitter/Forums are SUCH bell-ends....

presumably that should read unwarranted.

Can anyone think of a better 21 year old striker for £200k?

Theo scares defences in this league, Barnsley and Milwall were all over the place. Bamba and Mills are a cut above any CB partnership in the league - it's going to take more than Theo Robinson to worry them. The guy's not going to be facing centre halves of that ilk every week.

TBF he shouldn't really be anywhere near the squad yet, the fact that he is is one of the reasons why we lost 4-0 yesterday, Leicester's 4th choice striker is better than all ours put together.

Not really much of a surprise, is it? Leicester can pick and choose any striker they like from the bottom half of the top flight downwards.

spot on mate well corrected (and there was i talking about b***-ends). to answer your question directly no I can't...especially when i remind myself we blew 300k+ on Derek Hales in 1977, which when inflation adjusted would give...well....er, a biggish number

Shocking. Absolutely shocking. I really don't understand the barrage of abuse he's getting - if you want to abuse derby players and lay in to them on twitter at least say you're a forest fan. I understand people wanting to vent their frustrations, but you don't have to address players directly. Props to theo - he's stayed pretty classy over the whole thing.

He had a stinker against leicester but the effort's always there with him and he's had a few quality performances of late. i'm certainly happy to see him in the squad.

Theres more where these come from and yeah, I realise 3 of the 4 are the same person, but I'm not selecting these at random. Theo actually re-tweeted these and it prompted him to say

The first touch comment is a fair point but I'm sure he knows that already. He has progressed a lot since he came here and people should get behind him and congratulate him for that, but the pitch forks are out after the Hull result and cretins like the one that said "get out of our club" are one of many that, unfortunately, point their anger at the wrong target.
