2 wins from 7 for both sides.. Hardly a promotion clash is it.. One could say it has the whiff of a boring midtable EMD which will probably end up 2-1 to either side.

Well don't bother watching it then bris

I can't claim that song. I stole it off someone's blog.

Absolutely dire so far

Confession is good for the soul, they say, but I'm not going to try and alter my magnum opus (not a gun, an ice cream or a car BTW! 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' /> )so you can keep your like, and thanks for mine: not a good day for either of us so we need to find comfort where we can. And so the countdown to the first clash starts.

Arse holes are being tightened all round the world.

Neither side dare lose, neither side want to hear their fans boo.

On paper, forest should win. But every red and ram knows form normally counts for nothing.

Let battle commence and the best team win.

Both teams need points

Derby with 2 away games to Forest & Boro followed by a home game against table topping Brighton

Forest 2 at home Derby Blackburn & away to posh

How many points will Derby get ?

I will go for 6 points from 3 games for Forest

2 points for Derby

4 each.

Derby WDL

Forest LDW

Who would predict their own team to lose in a rivalry.

I'm going for Derby but in truth I wouldn't bet a single penny on this match. 0-0. 4-4. Dunno.

Im still expecting both teams to finish between 10th and nowhere.

It is often said the form book goes out the window in local derbies. However, most Florest v Derby games in recent years have gone the way of the team in better form. Who that is this year is hard to say so maybe it will be a draw? We haven't had many draws in this fixture recently.

Coach Steve Chettle was full of praise for Nottingham Forest’s players after they eased to victory over arch rivals Derby in the Under 18 Professional Development League.

The Reds ran out 3-1 winners at Derby’s Moor Farm training complex over the weekend. Jack Blake scored twice, while Michael Hollingsworth set the seal on a convincing win with a third goal late-on.

P.S. How can it have been that convincing a win when the third was added (by your own admission) late on ?

Sounds like somebody trying to "big up" something that really has no place being "bigged up "

Chettle told us: “We started very well. We played a little bit more direct to try gain possession of the pitch, which we did and managed to play well when we had the space to play.

“We scored after 16 minutes after great work by Josh Thomas and Derick Otim, who cut the ball back for Jack Blake to score from 12 yards out.

“We scored again on the stroke of half-time. Otim, who played really well up front on his own, again did well and Blake cut inside a central defender before curling a shot beyond the goalkeeper.

“Derby were a little bit more physical and direct in the second half and we had to weather a little bit of a storm.

“But we got a deserved third goal nine minutes from time from a corner which saw Michael Hollingsworth score from a yard out.

“The only disappointment was the fact that we conceded in the fourth minute of added time.

“But we did really well – we looked stronger, battled better and played better than them.”

Under 18s lose local derby against local rivals.
We need to be more of a cohesive unit when out of possession."

Darren Wassall
Derby County’s Under 18s tasted defeat for the third home game in a row with a 3-1 home reverse against Nottingham Forest on Saturday morning at Moor Farm.

The result leaves Darren Wassall’s men still searching for their first win of the season in the U18 Professional Development League 2 – North, having drawn two and lost two of their four games prior to Saturday’s clash.

With little between the two sides in the first half, Forest broke the deadlock on the half hour in controversial circumstances. The Rams felt defender Sam Berry was clearly fouled, but the officials waved away their appeals and Forest scored seconds later.

Derby’s luck was summed up just before the break, in what proved to be two game-changing moments. First striker Mason Bennett thought he had equalised, but he saw his effort ruled out for offside, and within a matter of minutes Forest broke away to go 2-0 to the good.

The Rams battled back and responded well in the second half by creating a number of good chances which they were unable to take, but Forest scored a third late on to put the result beyond doubt.

Irish striker Daryl Carrigy came off the bench to pull a goal back late on with his first goal for the Club, but it proved to be too little too late for the Rams.

Wassall said: “It was another disappointing result at home and Forest got stronger as the game went on, and we ultimately got what we deserved from the game.

“We can’t fault the players’ effort, but we need to be more of a cohesive unit when out of possession and for some reason we are lacking that bit of quality at the moment to reach the standards we know they can, and have previously, reached.”

The Under 18s are back in action on Saturday, with an away fixture at Crewe Alexandra

Chettle told us blah blah blah.... it must be true then. 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

And that second post was probably written by someone from the Evening Post with an agenda. 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

So all the reports are one sided just like the score line 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Maybe it's the refs fault or a miss print, ( it can't be true can it ? )

Or it could be Forest out played you & were up 3 - 0 away from home before you got a late goal to make it 3 - 1
