Am I mental? Maybe for continuing to engage the minority of the ****** on this forum in reasoned debate.

If you are happy to cheer on people who repeatedly spit in other peoples faces and cheat however and where ever possible. Maybe you wish you could show support for someone who fled the scene of an accident, leaving an innocent human being dying in the street. Would you like to applaud a man(?) who has been convicted of beating women or line the pockets of a weasel who ruined a young man's life and career by stubbing a lit cigar in his eye? And for good measure idolise a racist thug then I think that you should take a long, hard look at yourself in the mirror. Yes I think their punishments were lenient, they should have served harsher punishments/time. Be that as it may football should turn its back on these reprobates and take a stand. Why should they be given another chance (or 4 or 5) just because they happen to be good at football?

Maybe they are not Hitler, but he was one man who grew into the evil we know him to be through support of the common man- willing to turn the other cheek to atrocities. We are the first to moan that a local thug has "got away with it" but happy to idolise scum because they can kick a ball.

You missed the point while you were riding that high horse. Those that served their time should be given another chance.

Cheating. Everyone in the game cheats at one point or another to a varying degree. Rob Hulse went down like a sack of poo everytime someone touched him near the box. But I still got happy when he buried one.

The spitting guy. Do I like his as a person? No, I wouldn't let my daughter go out with him... but yes, if he wants to bring his footballing skills to my team and significantly impriove it? Yes. I'll be happy with that.

The cigar thing.... If I was holding a lit cigar, and some little **** set fire to my shirt, I would jam the cigar in their eye too. How would you react?

Bigotry? Personal opinion. I hate vegetarians. As long as they are not forcing their views on other people, let them think (and eat!) what they like (more bacon for me!). Everyones gran is a total racist. You still love your gran though. Right? It's a free country. Thats how the BNP and EDL manageto exist.

As for Lee Hughes. The bloke did jail time, after handing himself in to the police. He paid for what he did in the eyes of the law. I can't really see any reason why he cant be allowed to play football... I'd rather he didn't play for us though... he's starting to get on a bit in years now.

Who said anything about idolising these people? I just want to see Derby up there instead of down there.

At what cost? I love my club but if it means being promoted with a team of people I morally despise than I would rather be relegation scrapping each and every season- in any division. This is the problem with society, as long as things don't directly affect people they don't care. Also just noticed that you "hate" vegetarians- really? You hate people because they choose not to eat meat? I am not a veggie and I don't understand it but I don't hate them!

If you want to call my grandparents racist that your choice- being a prisoner of war can alter your outlook a little.

There is no 'cost'. it will never be a team full of people that you despise. Maybe only have 1 or 2....

Betcha didnt mind when the 3 crooks nearly got us promoted... you may not have liked the fellas, but you didnt hate the team did ya? Just a few individuals. The club is always bigger than a could of bad eggs (or former bad eggs as the case may be) in it.

Much worse than Lee Hughes!!! Bowyer is a yob who has had behaviour issues. Lee Hughes killed someone in a car accident after spending the evening in the pub. He then ran off, possibly to clear his body of any alcohol. He left another two people in the car injured.

I have no problem with Lee Hughes playing again as he has served his time. If Lee Bowyer did come to Derby, I would hope that he has at last grown up.

The Lee Hughes incident was about 8 years ago now, and the drink part has never been proved. Bowyer is still stamping on players here, there and everywhere in the Prem this season. (They just happen to be black aswell)

Lee Hughes has said on many occasion of his deep regret for his actions, he was heartbroken for many years in prison, served his time and now still regrets everything he did.

Bowyer clearly doesn't.

WORSE than Lee Hughes..?? Get real...Lee Hughes was jailed for causing the DEATH of Douglas Graham...Bowyer, on the other hand, was cleared of all charges relating to the Leeds nightclub incident..

I think if it was a relative of yours that was killed thanks to Lee Hughes then you might have a different, and more realistic opinon.

Kinhell!!! Stop comparing people to dictators you crazy fool.

You seem to be forgetting that Bowyer makes a FAT wedge of cash which, as we all know is far above what anyone should be earning for kicking a bit of leather about.

Hard working everyday people who perhaps weren't blessed with footballing ability find work in a variety of different ways but share in common the fact that they get a considerable less amount than Bowyer gets. Now if they hit a co-worker or were caught in possesion of cannabis or quite frankly any of these crimes then they would be in the dole queue next Monday!!.

My point, I guess, Is in football these will be overlooked just because a player can benefit a team. O.K, There's 92 league teams just in England alone and not all will chose to ignore the lad. But the teams that don't will more than likely be turning a blind eye for the selfish benefit of the club/manager's reputation.

I think (as much as he'd benefit the team) has had FAR too many chances and I do not want to see the club I love poisoned and risk total unrest in the dressing room, Because of this moronic ars3hole.

Especially whilst he's picking up 10k or whatever a week as I'm getting out of bed everyday at 6a.m to earn peanuts, whilst making sure I don't do anything which could cause me to lose my job and career.

If Bowyer had assaulted you and put you in hospital, I'm sure you'd be thinking differently too.

If Gareth Roberts was caught in posession of cannabis, Repeatedly went out drunk and was (one more than few occasions) a racist thug who seemed to have no care for authority or morals.....

Then surely you would not begrudge rival fans/supporters from saying that he doesn't deserve a place in football and that he is scum????????

Bowyer is a thug and serial repeat offender.....i'd say Bowyer was the worse out the two.
