daveo we are constantly priced out it seems, i'm not saying pay stupid amounts but sometimes you have to pay a bit to get quality. I will feel frustrated and annoyed if we don't sign anyone this window since Nigel and Tom were so confident.

There are still 12 days left, panic on 1 Feb if they fail to bring someone in.

I don't like the public announcment of targets, but we can't do owt about.

We are not constantly priced out at all, thats an OTT reaction brought n by frustration at the current situation, we have signed plenty of players with GSE at the club. Remember Commons, we paid him more than what Forest offered to get him here, Porter we snatched from under Cardiff's nose, Barker was also another target for Forest.

I'm frustrated as the next person about the lack of players coming but I would actually question the need for Ben Davies, we have plenty of options for those 3 attacking midfield roles.

The thing is even Gadsby could come in now with his great big smile and and Nigel a £5m cheque in front of the fans but it still wouldn't guarantee signings in the January transfer window.

is that a request?

Yes. I think its right tho' that you leave a decent gap between each one. Can you remember the League Review that you used to get inserted in the old programmes of the early 70's. I'm sure they used to do a "focus" type thing on players of the day?

I get the impression that some posters don't believe that you are conducting real interviews - they sound realistic to me.

Usually leave it to at least the sunday night after the match - by which time depression has turned into a mild form of hysteria.

I used to like those focus on...features. Remember being shocked when Hector responded to the question : Favourite Other Team ? with Leeds United! i know he's from Leeds but....that hardly seemed an adequate reason.

Still we forgive him.

At the end of the day there is another emergency loan window opening soon after this January window shuts. Think it runs until the last week of March when it shuts until the summer. We play Ipswich in February

following the Forest match. Looks like there will be no arrivals before next week at the earliest.

There seems to be lots of rumours flying around about outgoings as well as incomings, so who knows, might be a dramatic and no doubt traumatic last week of January for us, but there is always the extra option of loans after this window shuts for pauper shoestring clubs like us!

Despite all the news to the contrary, Wikipedia has Ben Davies listed as a Derby County player with his number 'TBA'. Don;t you have to have some kind of credentials to update a Wikipedia page? If so, I think it may be true and I suspect he might be another lower league gem

Clutching at straws comes to mind;);)

Ben Davies will put in a shift every game, he will create opportunities and he will also score goals. Not only that, he's a free kick specialist so that's another crack to his whip.

It's only 1 signing, but it's a bloody good signing. Would prefer to see more investment from the board but as Clough himself has said, echoed by Glick, they won't throw money at rubbish.

So, as i grow as frustrated as some at the lack of investment can see the philosophy behind the lack of activity. Wouldn't mind seeing about 3 or 4 more additions on top of the Davies potential signing today, would encourage competition and most definitely safe guard our squad whilst injecting a forward push up the league. That £5-10mill would be nice!
