Day
Never thought we would have a topic on those on this forum, but here we are, we are here because you know what, with Joey Barton wildly posting misogynist content over on X, it's about time they had some praise rather than criticism. And they deserve it. Quote An all-girl team has become football's latest "invincibles" by going unbeaten all season - while playing in a boys' league. Queens Park Ladies under-12s finished top of division three of the Bournemouth Youth Football League, with 18 wins, four draws and no defeats. They dominated the 11 boys' teams in the league, scoring 61 goals and conceding only 11. By the time they had played all their matches, they had amassed 58 points, 16 more than the second-placed team, which had two games still to play. https://news.sky.com/story/invincible-all-girl-football-team-goes-whole-season-unbeaten-in-boys-league-13119242 That is some achievement, fair play to them 👏 angieram, StaffsRam, archram and 4 others 1

Good point. I remember in junior school the fastest girl runners were quicker than the fastest boys.....
Bris Vegas
Girls tend to hit puberty before boys do too. It goes to show that skill wise it can be similar. But physicality is a major factor, and physicality also affects the skill level when you can simply move that much quicker. I remember playing football as a youth and at U15 level everybody seemed pretty similar. At that age we were all around 5ft 4. It wasn’t until we went U16 we started noticing, and then to U18s was a different ball game as entirely suddenly we were up against 6ft+ athletes.
