For you oldies who can cast their befuddled minds back to 1983 - Leeds at home, and the club gave them the Osmaston End Middle and Upper Tiers, directly above the Derby lads, it led to one of the biggest riots at the Baseball Ground, possibly one of the last of its kind................

I'll tell you a story of blood and glory

that happened in '83,

when dirty Leeds and their fans misdeeds

caused a riot in the old Ossie

For some strange reason, Leeds that season

were placed in the Ossie middle.

They acted the cnut as the ones at the front

leant over and chucked cups of piddle

As the game went on, the trouble begun,

they started to break up the seats,

The old wooden chairs, to horrified stares,

rained down, and the Ossie looked beat

The police couldn't cope with the injured folk,

split heads were all around

but as the police froze, a huge roar arose

from the boys in the Baseball Ground

A few brave souls climbed up the poles

and fought their way into the stand,

suddenly it was fight or flee

and the Leeds were not feeling so grand

The Popside boys, on hearing the noise,

and watching the fight unfold,

left the ground at the speed of sound,

and the Leeds fans blood ran cold

Now hundreds of Rams were climbing the stands

and Leeds began to retreat

they ran out the back under fierce attack,

down the stairs, for the Popside to meet

the time had come for the Yorkshire scum

to atone for their cowardly act

the Derby lads, with their brothers and dads,

kicked fook out of Leeds, thats a fact!

We'd stolen their thunder, leeds were asunder,

the station seemed miles away,

they split far and wide, nowhere to hide,

as more Derby joined the affray

Its just one little reason that the “Leeds” word is treason,

that day sowed some more of the seeds,

so don't think its wrong, when the Dambusters song,

proclaims that, “WE ALL FOOKING HATE LEEDS”

Uttox is a mod who'd have thought?

He's a bit like Ianm, inform and be taught.

But will he cope with the naughty members?

He's got to control them, I hope he remembers.

No time for peoms, I'm going to be frank.

When put against mine, yours are, not as good.

Thankyou please[/size]

All we hear is down with Clough

It seems 10th place just isn't enough

When it comes to big Tom Glick

Critics think he's a greedy p£!ck

Our players keep getting younger and younger

Though without doubt they have the hunger

We don't have a Pele, Cruyff or Gazza

But at least we'll soon have a lovely Plaza!

dear mister glick

lets cut to the quick

nige is slowly turning round our club

the team is on the up

we'll beat stoke in the cup

so go and ask gse for a sub

we need a bit of cash

-no need to be flash-

a player or two would be jolly nice

let nige wheel and deal

to add a bit of steel

and i'll tell me mam we'll beat forest twice

ooooohhhhhhhh it just flows some days!

One fine Saturday the sun was bright

Derby and Forest got up to fight

For the 88th time they faced each other

We pulled one back without any bother

Derby had ten, but it didn't matter

The Derby faithful knew Forest would shatter

Forest were blind but Derby could see

That the scum were down, we had felled their tree

The ref was desprate to see fair play

But it wasn't to be, not today

Forest got nasty but could not reply

The rams got louder, Derby till I die

Then young Jeff, not a care in the world

The crowd erupted, past Camp it curled

The Forest boys could not believe the noise

As they poured down the stairs, they were destroyed

If for some reason you don't think it's true

Ask your friend Clough he was there too!

Who are ya? Who are ya?
