A player joins Derby when he's in U6/7s. Now in U14's and in that 7/8 years, not once Darren Wassall has spoken to the player or parent. 

Baring in mind that U14s is the year the boys can get scholarships, do you think some communication from the academy director should have been had by that time? 

I've heard similar tales of dissatisfaction. You always get the odd bit of sour grapes, but it's been a pretty consistent story.

Wasn’t Darren Wassall basically just a puppet for Mel anyway? Is he actually any good? Despite all the investment we haven’t had much real quality come out the academy.

From what I can tell, I don’t think there’s many that are disappointed to see him leave.
