If he was a 'Rooney', he'd be playing for Everton in the Premier, if he'd been a 'Leon Osman', he'd be in his second loan period in the championship. Premier teams are going to be reluctant to let players go to league one teams when they are already capable at playing at a higher level. He has come on leaps and bounds this season and will be looking to play for a top level championship team next season, to continue his development.
