4-3-3 is the perfect formation to get the best out of Sibley and I think works well for McGoldrick.

 

I'm not sure Sibley has the defensive discipline and consistency of ball retention to play in that position. 

I think it works for McGoldrick even less. I don't think he has the stamina/endurance for that position.

Not sure if this is necessarily the right thread, but thought we used Knight wrong today.

Playing an energetic midfielder off of the striker isn’t the same as adding forward running power to the midfield. It’s what Clement did wrong when he effectively played Jeff up front.

Bryson didn’t play off of Martin. He would just make run after run after run without receiving the ball but he’d stretch the play and on the off occasion be in a position to run onto a Martin lay-off.
