Watched the Lancs/Notts game earlier. Lancashire really should have won the competition last year, and look really  good again, they’ve beaten us, Leicestershire, and Notts with ease and look the best team in the North by some distance.

And we always lose to Notts, so…..

im still optimistic we can compete for a top 4 spot, hopefully that’s still the case tomorrow night 😬

Doesn't look like it, unless the hybrid pitch they are using is making it more difficult to bat than usual. Madsen found it difficult to get going which is unusual, given his form.

Only way we win this is by bowling them out I reckon.

Restricted Northants to 29-1 in the powerplay, and suddenly 151 doesn't look quite so bad.

Northants win with 11 balls to spare. Bowlers had a go but the batting hasn't been good enough over these first 3 games.

It didn't look quite so bad, but it never at any point looked good.

The big difference in all formats is Masood’s runs. Swap his scores for Ali’s in all games and things would look a lot different 🤔

Masood was phenomenal last season, it's difficult to replicate that, he himself doesn't look as good so far up at Yorkshire. The problem is Haider isn't just falling short of that, he’s just not been good at all so far.

Still think Came and/or Wood should come into the team. The batting depth just looks weak.

I think Lamb, Wood and Came for Dal, Ali and McKiernan….perhaps Thompson for Watt too. We need a win soon or we will be out of it. So disappointing when I was so optimistic at the start of the season.

Good job Derbyshire losing is the norm otherwise this season would be painful. 
 
Not sure it’s down to MA split role gig but that decision isn’t looking wise now.

It was a poor performance. Sliding to defeat against Northants is not great. They seemed pleased with their victory judging by the noise from the dressing room. We just don’t look like taking wickets or scoring enough runs, which is a bit of a problem in cricket.

Having your overseas fast bowler who got 2 wickets, only bowl 3 overs wasn't great.

Thought we bowled quite well trying to defend a total that wasn't anywhere near good enough. No wickets from the spinners in the opening 3 games is a problem.

it's nowhere near as bad as 2021, when we didn't even look like a team that should be playing county cricket, but expectation was raised last season and we've gone backwards rather than forwards.
