Chester40
He has suggested we play Henderson, Philips and Rice... Hmmmmm. Wonder if those saying he will get to put his character on the team next year are still so keen... 1of4
Just seen an England team picked by Gary Neville, that he thinks should start in the game tomorrow. It's more negative than Rooney's. What is it with ex manure players selecting defensively minded teams?
Dean (hick) Saunders
Is this a (worrying) sign of how coaches are trained in England?
RadioactiveWaste
Let's face it, Germany would paste our starting 11 from the Wednesday game and as Rooney doesn't manage England it doesn't really matter. But you have to ask yourself, why play three defensive midfielders when you could play 4 and an extra centre back. This is a weak and inconsistent side by German standards and whilst not bad, aren't what they were.

You’re up against the best defenders in the world in these tournaments and if you go one down you’re in a hole. Seems against Germany he gradually freed up the wing backs as the game went on and maybe that’s the way to go. I’d love to see Mount, Grealish, Saka and Foden on the pitch but who knows if that’d be a better approach
