Chris Martin. He should have won it before now but for superhuman efforts from others. He is still making the team tick. He is still scoring and assisting goals. He deserves it for this season and others.

“Targeting” Lawrence....Ha ha ha. I would be surprised if you could find more than a couple of posts where I slag off his footballing ability. I don’t think he is particularly any good, certainly not player of the season good....especially when he pretty much f’d the season up with his stupid mates 

i will not however forgive and forget that he put innocent and not so innocent peoples lives at risk when he thought he was above the law and drove home drunk....the fact that he derailed the whole season is secondary but also shouldn’t be forgotten.

Tough call as many players have been in and out of form at some stage. Not a very rational reason but, I'm not sure about Rooney. Some folk might think he only won because it's Rooney and, of course, he wasn't a player for half the season.

If they'd been more consistent early in the season (but then, who was) I'd be thinking Holmes (until he got injured) or perhaps controversially Clarke.

But, if I had to vote now I'd go for Lawrence or Martin.
