But that could be down to Hamer not being as comfortable playing that way, Cocu not being comfortable with Hamer playing that way, or Cocu just tweaking his tactics slightly. Due to his age and previous reputation he won’t be that cheap regardless of Stoke’s division and I imagine there would be sides better placed financially to take a punt on an error-prone goalkeeper who’s very low on confidence.
