To be fair, she’s had 3 kids since I bought it her, so I’m not sure it would fit so well any more.

But 10 years ago, it fit perfectly, if a bit snug in certain places.

HaHaHa, I take it your wife is NOT a member of this forum!!!

If she was you would be a couple of footBALLS short by now.

I know my Mrs would never let me forget a statement like that ?

She’s 10 years older and 3 kids on from when I bought her the shirt, there’s no way it’s fitting her now. She’s still gorgeous though, and I’m very pleased with the hand life has dealt me. But even she can admit that she ain’t 22 any more.

But, to bring it back on topic. Girls can where football shirts whenever they want, it never looks bad. But there especially appropriate as pyjamas.

And they can be full kit bankers as much as they want, especially if they pull the socks all the way up.

1.      Would you wear a replica shirt? Yes

2.      Where is acceptable to wear it? Match days only. It amuses me to see adults wearing football shirts when out shopping.

3.      Do you buy a home and away shirt? If yes, what is your system for when and where you wear each shirt? Home only

4.      Do you wear the current shirt, or go retro? Retro but planning to get a new one this year

5.      Would you wear more of the kit than the shirt? No

6.      If yes to 3. what and where? N/A

7.      What’s the cut-off age for it to be acceptable for a fan to wear the full strip? 11

8.      Would you get a player’s name on the shirt? No. They'll probably be sold before I've had a chance to wear it more than half a dozen times. Besides, I support the team/club not specifically individual players

9.      Would you put your own name on the shirt? No. What's the point?

10.   Do you get the 69 number on your shirt every season? Given the question is "as an adult...." then the answer is obviously no.

The chat on the Marriott thread about getting a name on the back of your football shirt got me thinking about the “rules” in terms of replica strips.

I think everyone has their own views on when (and how much of) you would wear a replica kit, so I thought it would be interesting to try and find out.

Consider these questions:

As an adult….

1.      Would you wear a replica shirt?

2.      Where is acceptable to wear it?

3.      Do you buy a home and away shirt? If yes, what is your system for when and where you wear each shirt?

4.      Do you wear the current shirt, or go retro?

5.      Would you wear more of the kit than the shirt?

6.      If yes to 3. what and where?

7.      What’s the cut-off age for it to be acceptable for a fan to wear the full strip?

8.      Would you get a player’s name on the shirt?

9.      Would you put your own name on the shirt?

10.   Do you get the 69 number on your shirt every season?

1. I do

2. Football games you are watching - Derby + England matches, sport.

3. Of course not, who has enough money for that??(And the home shirt is better anyway unless we get a nice black away kit)

4. Current shirt(season -1 ),the retro ones don't fit anymore

5. No, but pretty much any black shorts and I'm practically wearing the full kit

6. I play football three times a week - I wear my Derby shirt every game

7. 12 years old

8. Yes - I used to

9. I have my surname

10. You don't??? Just kidding - I'm a n.9 type so of course I have n.9
