JuanFloEvraTheCocu'sNesta
Fair play to him for coming back and extending his career as long as he did. It always seems like a case of 'what could have been?' with Barker at Derby. If we had him fully fit in the McLaren days who knows what could have happened. As it happens he was very good for us in a difficult period. Thanks and good luck to him.

Dimmu
As the players decide the music, I miss him more than ever. What an achievement to come back to Championship level after such a horrible injury. Hats off.
needles
Proper player at this level in his time. Bit of a favourite of mine in an up and down side.

RadioactiveWaste
Was an important player for us pre-injury and the sheer will to come back from it combines with being a top bloke and taking the area and it's people to heart and putting in charity work, he deserves every respect. Seth's left foot
I remember watching him and Shackell playing together and thinking that we had struck gold. Proper defender and a nice bloke, I wish him well for the future. suppose he’ll go back to being a Red Dog now

If you know anything about football you will know, under MacLaren we played posssion football in the oppositions half, we tried to dominate the ball and the territory but to our detrimant we left out defence, inparticular our central defence exposed against space and the counter attack. If you want an insight into what this would mean to Barker, thing back to our 2 months when Kuqi was at Derby AND clough played with a more expensive style with Commons and Bueno in behind. In those games, barker was at his worse, as counter attacking teams when in behind our midfield ran directly at the immobile Barker. Barker was a great defender at heading and kicking clearences with protection. You might argue he was like Davies in the current Rowett Regime. But in an attacking team he was exposed for pace time after time. In the TV era, just think about Per Metesacker and how poor he looked at Arsenal. Same scenario. Youve put a lot of thought and effort into finding as way to have a pop at a player who doesn't deserve it at a time when he doesn't deserve it? Why? What do you get out of that feeling wise? Fair play to Barks coming back and getting minutes as any level was a miracle. Top bloke, delighted he went out with a win. That's an incredible 6 wins out of 7 appearances at Burton. Whether he's had 5 minutes or 5 seconds he's shown desire, heart and leadership. Qualities he had in spades whenever he pulled on a Derby shirt as well. My modern day footballing hero. Pure class.
