He reminds me of a local youth team I played for in which the managers son took penalties, free kicks and corners, not because he was better than the rest of the lads, but because he was the managers son. If I were the manager, I'd have the squad practise taking penalties whilst Neymar and Cavani did laps of the pitch. The best of the squad can take them for the rest of the season. So rather than the manager of the team saying I want X player to take penalties, they are offering to PAY Cavani not to take them? Does the manager have zero control over this team? What next, will they be bribed with more money to play a formation they don’t like? Ridiculous. Even more so that 2 players cannot even come to an agreement, clearly shows this is no ‘team’ but a bunch of expensive individual merchandise machines. If you win the penalty, take it.
