Derbados
Doing an interview with the BBC for the upcoming season, says we bid £15 million for him in 2000?? would have smashed our transfer record!
Papahet
Can't see it being 15m, but we was definitely looking for a big name signing that time with the likes of Stimac, Baiano, Wanchope all moving on. Had talks with Petit and Baggio, so money must have been there especially to commit to 30k for Kinkladze
RadioactiveWaste
And instead we got Fabrizio. Ah well, one of my abiding memories of ravaneli was away v Grimsby listening on radio derby to Graham Richards exploding "how much is he on!"

I was relatively young but I remember my old man going absolutely ballistic at that as well.

Although my other memory of him (apart from endless where's my money headlines in the DET) was a lovely goal vs Coventry.
therealhantsram
We'd have probably stayed up that year if we had Phillips rather than Ravenelli

The following season he got 14. I was at the Grimsby game and Ravenelli obviously didn't fancy it and was trying to get the game called off during a long injury break. How good would it have been to see Baggio at Derby. Baiano was still an awesome buy for Derby.
