Sorry if already answered guys but we are flying into Frankfurt Hahn, anyone know what's our best way of getting to kaiserslauten and back to Hahn....

I looked at this , to be honest looked like the best option was hiring a car as there is no direct train , I think it was about £70 (for 4 days)

I have ended up booking Flights from heathrow to Frankfurt , and Air BNB Apartment in Kaiserslautern , haven't decided whether to rent a car or get the train from Frankfurt (Car is £60 excl fuel cost) and Train about £69 , we are going for 21st - 24th to make a weekend of it.

Went to Karlsruhe last year, probably about 30 Derby fans there , bought tickets on the gate and once the Ground staff had decided where they were going to put the away fans we got escorted by security through the German fans much to their amusement.

Had a great time, weather was hot and had a nice chat with Pearson and some photos with players , though the ground was small and it was easy to get next to the players tunnel.

considering going....will be my first experience in germany too.

8 hours on the train and 58 euro's is it worth it?

Any roughly know ticket price?

Whats your plan stop over one night, if so I think you would enjoy the experience smaller German towns can be very lively and usually have plenty of entertainment

Ticket price if I remember correctly at Karlsruhe was 8 euros to stand and 12 to sit though because they didn't really know what to do with the away fans they put us in a sitting area even though we had purchased standing tickets , it may be better organised and more expensive (though not much) at a bigger club

Now what we need is one of the itk guys on this board who have dcfc's ear to suggest they have an open training session Sat morning so the they can reward the traveling fans with access to the manager and players as a show of togetherness

Frankfurt is the Heathrow of Germany thats why, budget airlines dont go there, long haul and expensive airlines do.

Unless you go the little frankfurt airport which coincidently is as close to the swiss border as it is to Frankfurt.
