I agree with footballers not betting on 'next perm manager' 'next club of...' Or anything where by they have insider information and matches involving them/their team mates but if he's playing his football in the Scottish league what's the harm in him having an accumalator on English matches? 

My close friend is a scout and he isn't allowed to bet at all. Same with anyone who has anything to do with a football club.

Technically the footballer isn't placing a bet.

"Hey my love, open up an online betting account in your name and I'll just fund it and use it to bet with"

So many easy ways around it.
