These last three years have been great fun, superb crowds and quality passing football, entertaining and lots of goals. Top 8 finishes and quality away days with pals. That's not broken.

This is a myth. From Feb in Macs first full season things have not been 'quality passing football' things have been stagnate.

Exactly! Too many people hung up still on that time under Mac . It's done! If that's the way we wanted to carry on playing we should have appointed a manager with the same philosophy as mac , we didn't.  We need to create a new identity instead of being stuck in the past.

There have been games since February 2015 where we have still played good football.

Wolves and Bolton at home off the top of my head from last season.

We have never scaled the heights we did under Mac but I would class stagnate as an exaggeration.

Whatever happens you are all still going to moan.

Last season this forum was ridden with people asking for a change from the 4-3-3 because three years in a row it didn't work out. Three games into Pearson trying something different and everyone seems to be wanting 4-3-3 back. Sometimes you've got to be careful what you wish for.

Personally I still think McClaren going was a big mistake he made us play exciting football in an exciting/dynamic formation. Sure would be a premier league team or would have just come back down if Martin and Thorne didn't get injured at the end of the 14/15 season.

We can't play a 433 without a specialist defensive midfielder or without proper wingers. Nick Blackman/Johnny Russell are not wingers, Russell always puts his heart and soul in it but for me it's time to move him on, end product is shocking! Although I personally feel Blackman showed positive signs against Brighton and Grimsby, he is not the answer unfortunately! A proper winger is what we need, that will get the most out of what we have up front.

Saying that, signing Wells and Forestieri wouldn't go a miss.

Will people stop saying 433 didn't work for three years in a row. It got us to f'in Wembley when we didn't expect to get to Wembley and when we played some of the best football we've seen for years.

I know I'm like a stuck f'in record but WE HAVE NOT FAILED FOR THE LAST THREE YEARS!!!!!! Aaaaaggggghhhhhhh!!

If you must, and I know some people must, we have 'failed' to match increased expectations over the last two years (or 1 of the last two if you think getting the the play offs is not failure).

sadly, that's not the case. It was the 'intent' and not the formation that got us to Wembley. I think we played 4-2-4 more often in that run than 4-3-3

Fair enough. My general gripe is with the 3 years of failure b****cks.

Under Nigel Clough there were games where we blew teams away. Noticeably when cywka, commons and bueno played together with Kuqi but I don't wanna go back to those times either...
