A players value is not just based on how good they are, it's so circumstantial. And impossible to plot on a list like this.

Ie Derby are in a comfortable position money wise, so we could hold out for huge offers for Jeff Hendrick (say over 20m) and if one doesn't come in, so be it, we keep a good player.

Whereas if Jeff had come through Bolton's ranks, and they were offered 3.5m today, they would snap Burnley's hand off.

Same goes for the buying club..

Because It's Burnley we would probably want them come back with say, double that, before we even considered negotiating.

But if someone like Man City enquired about Jeff, we'd probably say **** it we want 30million.

All for the exact same player.

And this is all before you take in to account other variables like, age, pending court cases etc

3m for the talisman who when fully fit guarantees 20 goals a season? When players like ibe are going for 15m and keane has a tag of 20m? He is a 10m man in any market never mind the crazy market right now

I think your living in dreamland, after last seasons individual performances your valuations are well over the top. I do worry that last seasons crazy spending on certain players that wern't worth anywhere near what we paid for them could hurt us next season as we are stuck with most of them. Still think Pearson will discover early in the season that he needs a fairly big clear out & quickly.

Look at the money being thrown around in this window. Nothing I have said is "over the top"

Is Hendrick worth over 6m? Probably not, but the market has changed, so is he? Clearly

well its a tough one.....that was my valuation, and whilst he has banged the goals i havent seen too many clubs offering to buy him and take a punt on him. I would have expected that with his return over the seasons you mention. I honestly think it maybe time to freshen up our strike force and increase our options. lots of teams no how we play.

im not slagging him off, i just dont think we would get big money.
