StaffsRam
Quote How can you describe Stoke? Well if the actual World needed an enema, Stoke-on-Trent would be where they shove the pipe. Hard to disagree. Stoke, twinned with 1945 Nagasaki.

Rev
*I'd rather live in any of those places than be within 50 miles of the so called elite of this country. Let's mock the dispossessed and disenfranchised of the country though, rather than wonder why 50% of the world's wealth is now in the hands of the richest 100 people, rather than the 3.5 billion poorest 50%. *Obviously I don't mean Stoke, or Grimsby, or Boro for that matter. Not that keen on Tower Hamlets either, but Portsmouth is ok, for a day trip, from somewhere nearby but nicer. Stats above may have been made up too. Phoenix
From what I recall from my younger days, Winsford and Wigan would have been up there. I remember thinking, one Sunday late afternoon, standing in Winsford (I can't think why) that this was the place that must have inspired the formation of the Salvation Army.
